The Boat Inn in Rugby

As it says on its name it's now no longer a pub but Restaurant. Being more of a spit and sawdust old bloke it's now a little upmarket for me. Good beers but the most I have paid in my week on the cut. I required a translation on much of the menu, but If you are happy paying for the dinning experience then you may enjoy. Sorry not my cup of tea.

Our favourite local pub, food is exceptional and the staff are lovely. We visit casually for a drink or dinner but also held our wedding reception in the new room they added during lockdown. Josh, Sue & the whole team made our day so special with a relaxed setting, wonderful food and such personal attention to little details for us. Thank you to the whole team for our perfect day but also just being a lovely place to visit all the time!

The monkfish was one of the most delightful, flavourful dishes I've ever had. Can't wait to go back.

I went to The Boat in 4 weeks ago for Sunday Roast with my husband and my 2 year old daughter. When booking a table, a lady who answered my phone asked me for the card details which I found quite strange.When we arrived we were seated in the area away from other customers. We were the only people seated in that part of the pub, whole everyone was sat on the other side of the pub. I felt quite isolated. At least the food was nice but I m not planning to go there again.

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch with family. Nice choice of meats on offer, with also delicious veggie and vegan options. Friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere- thanks guys

Food in general was really good but had an issue with the amount of pepper/spice in a childrens spaghetti dish. Service was a real let down, we had to go and find staff to empty the table and get the bill. Really not attentive.

What can i say What a stunning Restaurant Beautifully Decorated for Christmas staff we're all lovely and very welcoming, The food was Incredible cooked to perfection probably one of our top 5 meals we have had ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way Thank you and Happy Christmas 🎄 to you all.

In a word fab-u-lous. 5 of us had lunch and each starter, main, desert was delicious, The lamb rump and pork fillet so tender, fish n chips and chicken wings so tasty. Freshest scallop starters and a Camembert to share.The fresh flowers by the door as you walk in and a jug in the ladies too. The ambience of the whole place is super, a go to place whatever the season. Situated right by the Grand Union canal at Birdingbury Wharf, a pleasant location.

Called in on the off chance in our motorhome as we were heading south and had time on our hands. Warmly welcomed by the landlady. Had a beer by the canal in the afternoon and booked a table in the restaurant for the evening. Wow, what a sumptuous feast awaited us. Food brilliantly prepared and cooked and then presented to the highest standards. Had loads of cocktails and gin and was also pleasantly surprised by the cost. Would love to come back!!

Had a lovely meal here after our week on a narrowboat. The waiting staff were so polite and the food was excellent. This is not your average pub, so be prepared to pay a little more, but it’s worth the difference.
