Great pub, good food with nice friendly staff.

My first visit to this dog friendly pub. Great staff, very welcoming and helpful, great service. I had the beef lasagne which was huge and delicious, it came with large home cooked chips. They have a good range of ales too. This will not be my last visit.

Last minute unplanned visit, first time there, absolutely loved it. Great food, friendly staff. Off menu egg, chips and beans for toddler - very accommodating! Homemade Veggie lasagna was lovely!

This gem was recommended by a friend and I’m glad I listened. Lovely, friendly staff - attentive without being intrusive. Portions were very generous and the food was so good. Absolutely perfect chips - crisp outside and fluffy inside. I had the gammon, my colleague had the salmon salad. Both were delicious.

Excellent.Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Not a big place and feels really nice and cosy.The food is excellent, steak was done exactly how we asked for, the sides like chips, salad, fried tomatoes and mushrooms was bang on. I don't want to eat out anywhere else because I know I will be disappointed after eating here, the onion rings was soooo nice too. Service is great. I just can't say enough for how good this place is. Not too expensive and highly recommend trying for the first time because once you do they have you forever. Great all round, I just can't say enough.

Tasty food with great portions. Good selection of beers and plenty of space in the beer garden. Family friendly too, had a great time.

We didn't book, and asked for Sunday lunch. It was warmly bustling on arrival with a lovely atmosphere and, without a shadow of a doubt, the best booked Sunday lunch I have had the pleasure of eating. If it's your first visit, go for Sunday lunch and you won't be disappointed.

Really good value food and large portions too. Tasty too.Menu was a bit limited when I went but this may have been due to covid times.Friendly staff with a nice old pub feel and look about the place.Serves a choice of Ales as well as ciders and Lager too.Wine as well as tour usual spirits etc.An excellent sized beer garden withbaine fantastic views too.Well worth a visit I will certainly be returning.
