Eastern Spice Balti in Sandwell

It's been a long time since we were last here and we had good time. On another day I think it would have been even better.I can't say that the starters were the best but given the size of the main courses I wouldn't be ordering any on my next visit. The mains were very good but I did have to ask for a couple of chillies to add to my rather tame tawa, however the wife loved her balti. Special praise for our three sides of chunky chips, garlic sag fried rice and a garlic & coriander nan. All were excellent in fact the best I have had in a long time. Service was a bit slow and the room could have been warmer but all was forgiven when we had the bill, it was great value for the money. Of course being unlicensed does help although some may think it was licensed according to the sign.Update, a week later we visited again and I am pleased to say that we experienced none of the negative elements of our first visit.Update, and now it's gone and changed its name to Zahra Spice. I am not sure why as all else is the same. Well worth a look.

Outstanding! Would give 6 stars if I could. The food quality, and taste is 1st class!Staff, and drivers really friendly and very helpful, takeaway food is restaurant standard, and by far the best in the area.Oh, and the chunky chips are to die for!Excellent, keep up the great work!!

Never had a bad meal yet. Staff are genuinely friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We enjoy every visit.

Great food friendly staff good price

Lovely meal friendly staff reasonably priced

Very good food, large portion, really impressed with the service and quality. Will definitely be going again . 10/10Had a takeaway delivered and no problems.

I booked in last night for around 830pm for valentines night meal for me and my husband, Bombay fry omg was amazing, food has ever was piping hot and fresh, we both had the Balti (beautiful) my husband decided to ask for 2 large garlic naan breads ( you have never seen nothing like it, they were huge) gutted I never took a photograph. The staff were handing out a rose to all the female customers thought that was a nice touch. This place is special to me as this was our very first meal together 18 years ago, really pleased that they’re still going strong. We decided to have Christmas lunch here several times and last year my brother and his family joined us, we had an amazing time. If your looking for a quality meal this is the place to be.

Always happy with the food and service and the online ordering system is great 👍

Absolute little gem of a place. Finally got around to trying this place and wasn't disappointed. Very warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Regulars are treated like family. Service very good and food lovely. Huge portions at a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend. Thank you Sam
