Emma has been a breath of fresh air, making a pub a real pub again. Welcoming us all, and nothing is ever too much. The staff are all really friendly and fun always helpful!

At first when I walk in had a woman behindthe bar with tattoo over her neck. Had heavy music up loud. I ordered a drink. She said anything else. I said not at the moment. I sat down. I look at the menu look nice food. So ordered a hunter chicken. Man who service me the meal. Was dressed in black shirt and trousers. He was filthy just has well is trousers and him. Put plate down on table. I start eating. Chicken was stone cold in the middle. I was happy with it I said to lady what was wrong. She said I will have ward with chef..can I get you a drink on the house. I said no I got to go. I wrote be going back here again

Been to the Goughs today and tried something from the new menu the food was amazing and the presentation was lovely too. The pub is now under new management and you can see the changes definitely in a positive light. Its more friendly and more welcoming the landlady always has time to say hello to you and welcomes you into the pub. The new menu is amazing highly recommended the southern fried chicken burger and the dirty fries omg this a a must try. Even if you are just passing and want food or even if you live round here the Goughs caters to you. Will definitely be back very soon xxx

Highly recommend! today was my first time visiting for mother's day and I must say I wasn't disappointed such a lovely atmosphere extremely welcoming and friendly Staff it was Really busy I expected a long wait for food but i was wrong we didn't have to wait long food come hot and very tasty 😋 the place was spotlessly clean and no empty glasses all tables were clean I will definitely be returning thankyou you to all the staff for a great day

Have been drinking in pub for years first told I couldn’t put my tab on as I have for years second ordered bottle wine came warm guy said would put in fridge ?? Shouldn’t wine be in cooler (white wine) some dog allowed in bar area odd !! Mark and Sharon good managers shouldn’t have left ?? Have put some decent cash over the bar over the years will be taking my cash else where sorry not my local any more 😩😩 have to say bye bye to the old bar staff for years of great service and many good times especially Wendy Kate xx

Really enjoyed the food. Great to see a gluten free menu Why can't I have a pudding (gf) on the lunch special. That's discrimination.

Went there Thursday night "Steak night" It is disappointing when you see a struggling business sacrificing quality to try to make their money. It is false economy and customers like us will not return and like us advise our many friends to do the same. The Steak was as tough as old boots and full of gristle. The waiter did apologies with I will inform the chef. There was only four people eating at the time which I suppose should have rung the alarm bells for us.. Maybe Gordon Ramsey will be there soon to help them out.

Firstly we were greeted with smile and prompt service. Bar staff were chatty and welcoming and the drinks poured lovely. The place is really clean so all credit to the management.

Friendly staff my local love it! Food good and prices definitely recommend this place! Not noisy can have a relaxing meal and drink 5 stars!!!!

Have to say a pleasant find, staff were welcoming and interior was clean and tidy. We choose to eat there, as my daughter saw they had a vegan menu, we both enjoyed our lunch as they used soya in our dish as well as vegetables. Had to wait a little for our deserts to come out, apart from that it was a nice place to have lunch.
