Although the service was good from Emma and she did try to accommodate my family. We found that they had ran out of a lot of the food, all fruit was gone, no main meals and kitchen staff a bit more unwilling to bend to my families needs. There was no table checks by restaurant staff, but otherwise clean, polite staff

As carveries go, this was an extremely nice meal 😁Maybe it was just the time that we all went up to get our food, but everything was cooked really nicely and absolutely nothing was either over or under cooked or cold. I'm not a huge fan of carveries but I have to make an exception in this case as all of our meals (party of 12) went down really nicely.The staff were really nice and helpful and I would definitely go back to the Malt Shovel again for a carvery 👍Big up to Jules, she is an absolute star of a waitress (manager/owner or whatever).Thank you...

Quick service on arrival and the staff were helpful enough!! Food was tasty and luckily all fresh food came out as we went up. I know a roast on a Sunday is the going rate but found that the price is a bit much for what it is but all in all a good meal.

Just been for breakfast at the malt shovel - absolutely beautiful. The service was second to none staff were so welcoming and were super pleasant. And the food was incredible!Thanks again we will be back soon! A shout to to the waitress Jules she was super friendly!

Visited on a Monday lunchtime at 12 noon. The carvery was already and looked good. Mom enjoyed this, although for my liking the carrots and sprouts were over cooked.I ordered a pizza. It was swimming in bitter tomato puree and topped with bearly melted cheese.The base was crispy and the mixed herbs were a nice touch.I won't be rushing back.

Food is always fresh & warm. Table service from lisa is always great, she is very friendly.Paul the chef is very friendly to.Always a laugh with both of them till our belly's hurt.Would recommend to anyone.Always a great time with amazing food!see you all again soon :)

Had a lovely meal there with the mrs and kids then the owners invited us back for a valentines party the week after very much child friendly.Put free food on, DJ and sorted games out for the kids and loads of sweets.Lovely people and lovely family atmosphere.Many thanks - the kids loved it and the beer was 👌Will be back

This is a very lovely pub which serves a great breakfast. The staff are very attentive to your needs and willing to commode your request. The food is well presented and taste just as nice as it looks, they do not rush you and always check that everything is ok. I love going their after a hard week at work, it's relaxing. They also adhere to the covid safely standards. Thank you very much.Our family enjoys going their and each time we go the group gets bigger🙂. Thank you for your 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 service.

If you fancy a carvery and you're in Walsall, take a drive out to the Malt Shovel it's much better than the local fare. Even the Veggie scran is good. And the staff are nice, give it a try.

I went there one day before Halloween by mistake. We seen the place and decided to just stop and give it a try. To be honest, I didn't expected to like it so much. Nice parking space in the back, plenty of space, nice Sunday Roast and great staff which were more than welcoming. I will come again for sure.
