Miller & Carter Birmingham Hagley Rd in Sandwell

Really disappointed. Went for my birthday and ordered the fillet rare with lobster tail. The lobster tail was not in stock which was ok as it was busy. After 40 minutes (which our very snappy and rude waiter didn't inform us about) we finally had our food. My steak was really chewy and was more medium rare than rare. I sent it back and took another 25 minutes for it to come out again. My partner had finished her food and my ribs were cold. The new steak was better and was essentially blue but still chewy which is not what I expected from a fillet. It also had little flavour and seems as though it wasn't left to rest for long enough as red juice was oozing out. For £29 it was a big let down and the £6 fillet steak from Sainsbury's is way better texture wise.

Carole was a fantastic host tonight, great service delivered throughout. The fillet mignon was the best steak I've ever had, 100% recommend to all the steak lovers. Even though the restaurant was packed out tonight we didn't have to wait too long for our food or the delicious cocktails.

Shabby, over priced, over rated furniture ,carpet worn food DISGUSTING if you don't have steak. Server lovely,polite and professional. Way to good for this place 2nd visit to Miller Carter 2 different areas . NEVER AGAIN !

Had a fantastic time here tonight, food was outstanding. I had the dirty burger, while my wife had lamb, both meals highly recommended. Place was lovely with a very good atmosphere nice and relaxing. My wife and I was attended to by the wonderful Maisie, who was friendly and polite which made our experience even more enjoyable. All in all, a very enjoyable evening out. Will be returning in very near future.

Amazing food and staff really good

Booked a 40th birthday meal for 9. Absolutely wonderful service and no complaints with the food. Our waitress was Maisie and she was wonderful, such a lovely lady who really made the meal special for us!

My husband and I had a fantastic lunch at Miller and Carter on Monday. We'd booked a table at 12 and when we arrived the restaurant was fairly quiet, but it got busy very quickly. Our table was tucked away so it still felt quiet private despite that. Service was well paced and we were served by Louise, who was very friendly.We ordered the three course set lunch menu and had some mocktails to go with it. It was very reasonably priced and our total bill came to about £42.For starters, we both had the calamari which was wonderfully crispy and fresh. We then had the steak sandwiches (£3 supplement each), which were delicious and perfectly cooked to the temperature we had each requested. After this we were quite full, but just couldn't resist the chocolate pot, which was very rich and a lovely end to our meal. We will definitely be visiting again!

Amazinnngggggg steak when you have the mixed combo. Unbeatable.Drinks… delicious and our waitress was great. :)Coming back very soon!

Great food and good service. Not cheap, and the decor is looking a bit tired. My partner and I also ended up seated on a lone table for two surrounded by family groups with young kids who couldn't stop watching videos on their smartphones with the volume up loud, which wasn't ideal, so maybe it's worth asking about the table location!
