Saffron Restaurant in Sandwell

Came here the other day. Upon arrival the lady at reception sat us down etc which was fine. We placed the order and the starters arrived with the most rudest man, he did not say hello or even smile. He simply put the food down and off he went. To drink, We ordered the Mojitos,No sweetness what so ever (I guess being sweet does not run in this restaurant) They were full of Lime. If I wanted a detox, I would have done this at home!! The mains were not all that, they lacked flavour. The old man with the grey beard did not even acknowledge our table when we were just sitting there waiting to be asked how the food was. I will not be returning. Guys Go to JILABI in cov road, you will not be disappointed. This place was full of stuck up waiters who clearly lack customer service skills.

Ordered food for delivery at 6pm and was told up to one hour for delivery, which was acceptable to me. However, the food turned up after one hour and 50 minutes, even after two calls to find out where it was.The food itself was of a poor standard. I ordered three poppadoms but received only two - the sauces were also strange in both taste and substance (appeared slimy). The was rice wasn't what I ordered and the sauce in the curry was nowhere near enough for the volume of rice. The plain naan was also very underwhelming. All for over £20, which seemed a rip-off all things considered definitely won't be using this place again.

Hard to fault! It's slightly more expensive than your usual curry house but well worth it. There was eight of us and we all enjoyed a wide range of meals. My only gripe was the tri colour pilau rice could have been improved by a more home style version but I appreciate that others might not agree.It's one of few places around the area that is ideal for that special occasion.Update 27/11, 8 of us visited on Saturday night and sadly our experience was just the opposite to the review above. Average food, poor service, extremely rowdy and very cold especially if you are seated near the doors. You pay your money and you take your chance. Good luck.

Prawns are not cleaned out properly from the inside, the chicken steak was raw, not cooked properly, no food hygiene what so ever. Disappointing as the 4 people platter starter was lovely however the mains disappointed, given the girls a bad stomach!

Came in Saturday night and was absolutely amazing! Family loved the food, the service is amazing and the staff members are very polite. Would defiantly recommend!

A very nice restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere, good customer service and most importantly, food! A range of options for vegetarian and non vegetarian and parking also available outside (usually free in the evenings but double check!)

Great location. Good food! Was recommended by a friend and went for my wife's birthday. Service was really good. Started was full off flavour and mains also was very nice! Will hopefully be returning!

Found Saffron by accident, took a wrong turn. Glad I did. Excellent service, great surroundings. Food is excellent and full of flavour. Although I live 150 miles away I will be back.

Good decor, prices were a little higher then other places I have been. Food was ok, not bad but not outstanding too. Service was slightly slow but not too slow that it would make you bored. Overall, a good place to try once and make your own judgement.

Excellent food and service .food was superb we would definitely recommend this place if u are after a curry with friends and family
