The Dog in Sandwell

I visit this pub every time I'm in the area, and always have good service. The food is standard pub grub. It can be a little hit and miss at times, but never terrible. The pub always has a nice atmosphere too. I will be returning.

Friendly, pleasant staff and did a great job considering they got busy for a Tuesday lunch!Food came out promptly and was good quality especially for the price!I give special mention to the poor chef on his own knocking out all those plates of food, well done!

Disappointed with the food. Served hot food on cold plates. Pastry on apple crumble soggy. Salad with chicken and avocado not the same standard as last week. Poor waitress who served pudding.

Had a great night the other day! They had the DJ in, we came a little earlier and had something to eat. Great dinner, the staff were really friendly and it was great fun when the DJ started. Absolutely fantastic night, will definitely be coming down next time.

I went to visit The Dog with my friends the other day. The food was spectacular, the company was brilliant and the fire was on which just made it all feel so much better! As you can see from the pasta dish, I highly recommend, and add the chicken on, it really pushes it that little bit further pub looks clean and the team were friendly.

It can get very busy here so it must be good for the crowd it accompanies. I ordered 2 double drinks from here though and it did cost £12 which I thought was a bit steep and got charged 1.70 for a double up rather than the 165 advertised, but it's only 5p. We did ask about the cocktails but the people behind the bar were unable to tell us what they did and instead referred us to find a menu from one of the tables. Probably won't be going in here again but the DJ that was on at the time of visiting was OK if a bit loud for the size of the building.

The staff are friendly and it is a lovely pub, especially with the log fire on the go. The only negative was the food . I had a veggie burger which was just a pattie with a few chips on the side £10.50 which is quite expensive for what it was .

Customer service was amazing! The lady on the phone was very helpful, ensured we got the right table.The waiting and bar staff were very attentive and were lovely. Especially the lady at the bar with the dark hair. We noticed one customer had an issue with their meal and they sorted it right away.Food was tasty and drinks were brilliant value, with £5 cocktails and £10 wine you can't moan!!

Went to the Dog today with my wife, sister in law and her husband, asked for a table away from other people, due to covid worries, they gave us a lovely table as asked right by the fire, couldn't be happier. Meals were good, plenty on the plates, good price. Only downside was planters out the back had 4 bags of dog pooh in there, why would anyone think that is acceptable! Shame on whichever patrons put those there

Impromptu stop off on a rainy but Autumnal evening. Lovely comforting atmosphere with the real log fire burning🔥😍 Great food + quick service from lovely staff.
