Went down for a sneaky pint with my daughter who was up from Somerset. She couldn't believe how cheap a pint is! Friendly staff, good beer and the best crusty cobs ever!

Good real ales and excellent food at a reasonable price.

Bustling and full of people, v local slightly cleeky vibe. Friendly enough, with minimal service and great selection of real ales. Lighting is daylight balanced LED and creates quite an artificial experience. Very pleasant music.

Visiting as on a narrow boat enjoyed a lunch time ale, left.... yet so good we returned with our boating companion. Dog friendly which is a bonus and so good to see it being used by the locals...would certainly revisit.

The home of the Tipton slasher bare knuckle fighter. William Perry was a bare knuckle champion in the 1850 to 1857. In 1836 he trained at the Fountain Inn and is a local Victorian legend even today. The pub is nice and cosy and has got a nice selection of beers. It also serves food and there's a outdoor seating area as well.
