The Myvod in Sandwell

We both had the sizzling griddled chicken. When we choose the same it's always a consideration that it will be a double flop if anything is wrong but not in this instance, it was a double whammy... It was superb, and being cooked on its individual cast iron skillet it stayed hot to the very last bite which is always a bonus for the both of us too as we like our food hot.Delicious and tasty, it was our first time in The Myvod (we'd been bought a dining out gift card and we could use it here) but we'll definitely return even without a card.Full compliments to the chef, I did knock the window of the kitchen door to tell them myself but they were busy cleaning which is also a great sign 👏🏆

Went for a xmas day drink with my SonThis felt like a real pub with a real old pub type atmosphere.Beer and service was great.

This place isn't for the public, just for the locals, as the staff get drunk after shift. The bar lady was nice and the manager who brought over our meals was as well. But what you get isn't worth the money. 3 small wings as a start, when everywhere else does 6 to 10. Also most of it was burnt!! I would of complained but as the manager was the one who served us the meals, I don't know what he could of said to resolve the matter. Whether he doesn't know the menu and thinks they're supposed to be burnt black or he didn't care

£15 for petty portions, could have gotten triple in wetherspoons, which is by the way the same service. Especially like the experience of carrying your own drinks to your table and the mindblowingly burnt potatoes skins, at least the wine drowned the noise out of the staff drinking after work...So other than the food, service and atmosphere... This place is not too bad.

Very impressed. Wounderfull, pleasant friendly staff, lovely meal, hot, perfectly cooked well presented. Venue extremely clean and well presented. Look forward to a return visit.
