I like Toby, never had a bad experience. The staff at front of house are great. Friendly and efficient. I've taken a star away because if you pay an extra £2 for extra things you should get them. No one having a big plate meal was given an extra yorkie pud unless they asked for it. My partner asked for another and was told 'yes if you want one'. He didn't get anymore meat than anyone using smaller plate. Extra £2 for 2 little sausages

Stopped in for breakfast before heading to the zoo. Breakfast was lovely and the kids loved the yorkies with jam , staff were helpful and it's a great price too. Great start to our day

It has been a while since I had a Toby's roast and I was delighted to see an array of mine and my daughters favourite vegetables. The service is always amazing very attentive and helpful staff will do their best to make sure you have a great experience.

Visited as all our usual places were full...We have given 2 stars but that is generous! The food was just ok... not very warm and the cauliflower was hard. The issue was a ceiling light above our table was flickering annoyingly and when we asked if they would sort it she said " Oh its been playing up a while..." so we asked her to remove it... She stated they can't!! So firstly, if it's been a while, then why haven't they sorted it... and secondly, are they aware of the danger of a flickering light... re: Epilepsy!!! It can quite easily turn into a life threatening situation for someone who has it, if it induces a seizure...because of a simple light!!! SORT IT OUT! We won't be going back!

Usual kind of thing for a Toby, nice meat, nice veg and good atmosphere. Staff were friendly and booking process simple and effective. Disappointed with the reduction in vegetable selection. Seems to be at least 3 less items than there normally is, hoping this isn't standard from now on as love the variety.

Had click and collect on Christmas Day for my Daughter and boyfriend as wanted to try something different the Carvery and Chocolate Fudge Cake with cream. Very Impressed so much food on display to choose from all delicious and tempting wish I had done the same food very pleased with and so much choice. This is the first year they have had a click and collect and I hope it continues only issue communication was an issue when confirming the booking as had to speak to different people until received confirmation email but I am sure was because of it being new service. Congratulations for a fantastic meal and to the wonderful cooks.

Was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, I booked in advance and arrived at my allocated time, the pregnancy test spilling out of the bin outside the front of the building was a warning of things to come.On arriving most food had run out at the buffet counter including bread, after waiting ages for more food to arrive it was clear that the food was rushed a nearly all was under cooked or mushy. The best thing about my visit was the bacon and leaving.Staff were trying but clearly they needed more people in the kitchen.

Went for a midweek, teatime carvery with a friend.I really enjoyed mine.Good selection of food; I loved the sliced potatoes. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The staff (apart from the guy behind the carvery) were very attentive and friendly.I would recommend and will definitely return.

Really annoyed I order a takeout carvery almost weekly this week we had what I can describe as a pyramid scraps of meat at the bottom covered with Cauliflower cheese and topped with peas and carrots. I live five minutes away from the restaurant delivery was fast yet the food was cold. There was no mash potato no roast potato on the adults one there was no beef.I ordered apple pie with custard which came freezing cold with no custard very disappointed and shocked at the state of this food I believe you prepare somebody's food as you would prepare your own this was not fit for human consumption. I can appreciate you are busy this time of year but respect all of your customers me and my son are still hungry and very disappointed

We went on Sunday. The queue was a bit long even though I know it's a Sunday. Took 20 minutes but being with my wife and three year old daughter we couldn't go together. I had to get three plates on my own and they don't have trays. If that was sorted then definitely 5 stars. The food was great though. I'd also like to recognise the lady working there for being so good with our daughter (and her Yorkshire Pudding). Drinks are good quality too.
