Afternoon Tea at The Wroxeter Hotel in Shropshire

Our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Wroxeter Hotel and it could not have been better. The staff, the wedding ceremony, the excellent food, the location, the rooms and the evening reception were all very good, and I have no hesitation in recommending this venue.

Our wedding was utterly perfect from start to finish. From the moment we booked, communication was superb. All emails answered very quickly, any adjustments or requests were adhered to instantly. Every visit prior to the day was accommodating, they allowed us to bring family and nosy round the grounds each time. Our actual wedding day was just wonderful. The staff worked so hard and nothing was too much trouble. Siri was our coordinator and he ensured everything ran like clockwork, which it did. Myself, my wife and our guests were all so well looked after, we couldn’t have asked for a better day. Beautiful, perfect!

Thank you to Siri and every other member of staff that worked during our wedding on Friday 8th April 2022!We had the most perfect day. The staff were amazing and couldn't have done anymore for us! We would highly recommend getting married there, it is stunning!

We had the hotel for my son's wedding, everything was great,a wonderful venue for a wedding.

Went for a wedding and had to stay in a different hotel. Warning, if your going as a group and staying in another hotel. It will be worthwhile getting a minibus, as getting a taxi from there is almost impossible.The hotel was very professional in the organisation of the wedding.

Had our wedding here last month and wow it was amazing! The staff were absolutely incredible - a big shoutout to Lauren who helped us organise our perfect day and was a pleasure to work with, Siri who was just amazing from start to finish on our big day and such a laugh! Chai who did all our table decor and helped us out on the big day and Siri’s son who was absolutely incredible on our wedding evening, we loved our day and couldn’t have wished for better, the day went so quick and would do anything to re live it all again. Thanks guys you were incredible xxx

We had a Rustic Afternoon Tea which is different to sandwiches. What a lovely time we had. Complements to ALL the staff who made it a special time.

It was a pleasant place to stay following a wedding reception held there the day before.COVID protocols were in place and the staff were friendly and helpful, if a little distracted by the next wedding party, which seemed a much bigger occasion.The room was perfect for me, with everything one expects from such a place. Recommended for those who want somewhere to stay when visiting the Roman ruins nearby.There was a llama farm next door too. I actually thought my drink had been spiked with a hallucinogen until it was confirmed I wasn't seeing things 😁

The venue was booked for my wife’s family doo. Pretty venue and function room looked good.Actual hotel room was standard, clean, nothing special.Most staff were pleasant and attentive.However, the star of the show was ‘Angelo’ a seemingly uninterested, unhappy, unkempt, rude waiter. We complained that a beer I had ordered tasted funny, Angelo took it away but we never had it replaced. As we were busy mingling, we forgot to chase it up.Heard a lot of complaints about his behaviour all evening from other guests.When me and my wife joined for breakfast in the morning, everything had been cleared away. We had some beans and bacon on a plate, even though breakfast was paid for in the price; I thought breakfast would be cleared away after the set time, not before.Happy Angelo pointed at an empty table for us to sit at, no drinks order or other assistance.Also, no staff member to leave our key with when checking out. We had to leave a note. Was happy to leave.
