A wide variety of websites quotes the hours as (variously) 10, 11 or 12 o'clock opening, but in fact they don't open until 2pm! Oddly enough that's what social media does very well, keep people informed of changes to normalsituationa. Someone needs to address this issue, so someone doesn't waste a lot of time and money standing outside a closed venue. Underwhelmed.

Nice pub the food looks very nice tho we didn't eat here but will definitely call again

Excellent service and friendly staff. The food was very nice and great portions. Would highly recommend the Sunday lunch.

The food is very good I had the Fish and Chips the portions are large. The staff are friendly but be aware it is used by the theatre goers so make sure you book or get there early

What can be said that hasn't already been said? ,People might think I am being biased with playing for The Anchor Inn Dominoes team & a regular (Pre-Covid) but I don't care!My first visit to Any Pub since November 2020 and what an enjoyable evening despite the restrictions everything works smoothly ,Table service is spot onLove what they have done with the place during Lockdown given the beer garden and smoking area a sprucing ,the paintwork is awesome and the beer garden has a rustic look too it with heaters and a canopy for those rainy summer (chilly) eveningsThe Anchor Inn a pub that keeps giving Great Atmosphere Great Ambience I already know the food is fab (having had it many a time) I tend to stick to one drink but I know The Landlord always has a good stock of real ales So if you want a nice evening out with some food and a couple of drinks then you can't go much wrong with The Anchor !!!!Credit to Rick & The Team for sticking at it through some of the toughest times we have all faced during months of no business thanks to a Global Pandemic .....Love this pub Its a 5 from me !!

Extriemly rude!!! Me and my partner came in there were 2 other customers within the whole pub (not including the 2 staff) we were challenged straight away before being greeted by the 2 ladies working (friday 4th June 16:00) about a mask, upon telling then we were exempt from face coverings we were further challenged and asked to present an exemption certificate?! So these 2 members of staff have gone above the law to challenge us and ask for a certificate? Exemption certificates are not a thing and punters are not legally required to produce anything at all. To save me having an argument with 2 ladies who do not have the capacity to think beyond there egos we left. Enjoy the only 2 customers you have on this beautiful sunny day ( maybe a result from these staff)

A really really nice 'local' pub. It has a great casual atmosphere with a jukebox and shows live sports when big events are on. The staff are really friendly and the food is great. Drinks are reasonably priced and it's a great location for drinks before and after shows at Theatre Severn. Highly recommended

Lovely food. But a long wait for it to be cooked. Don't go if your in a hurry but if you want a nice meal and have time on Your hands this is the place for you. If you do have a meal make sure to order the onion rings they were great . We had the Anchor burgers with cheese and bacon , they was delicious. The Anchor is also dog friendly.

Went for lunch yesterday, we were in a rush as traffic delayed my sister bringing my elderly parents from West Bromwich for the theatre matinee. However, the staff were great, suggested food that would be ready quite quickly. The food was amazing, my fish and chips best I've tasted for a long time. Everyone enjoyed it and we were all full. I would highly recommend for good service, amazing food and excellent value. Was our second visit and there will be more.
