Beautiful late lunch today really enjoyed food and service spot on

Really friendly and helpful staff, nice food. We booked a table in the garden area which has a really relaxed atmosphere, patio heaters and blankets if you get chilly. Really nice experience, can't wait to come back!

Beautiful clean pub inside and out. Friendly helpful and polite staff. Food was fresh, hot and most enjoyable...can not fault anything about this place. They even put the football on for us 👍 excellent !

Good service and location, but poor food. Never complained about food before but won't be going back here sadly. Linguine was flavourless with tiny Prawns, had to send it back and brought out same dish but tasted strongly of lemon. Great place for a drink in the summer wouldn't recommend going for dinner.

We came on the wrong day from what my son had booked but after no more than a 15 minute wait the Manager had got us sat down. The service and food was excellent and will certainly visit again. Well done!!

We managed to book a table for lunch at the last minute and were so impressed! We had steaming hot cauliflower fritters and calamari to start, both very tasty and served with a dressed side salad, although as our main courses arrived we very quickly regretted the choice to have starters as the portions were massive! Their roast dinners are fantastic; nice array of fresh veg, delicious potatoes, moreish gravy and perfectly cooked meat. My only criticisms were that the main course was more luke warm that hot, and the Yorkshire puds were a little disappointing and dry but flavour wise overall their roast was one of the best I've had. Service was very efficient and friendly too - can highly reccomend!

Lovely spot, food was excellent, menu poorly laid out, staff were extremely helpful, food came quick, it just took a long time to pay at the end. We sat inside which is lovely but I expect this place is even nicer when the weather is good and your sitting outside by the river. If you are planning on eating inside, you should book beforehand

What’s Happened???This used to be one of my favourite places to eat in Shrewsbury but doubt I’ll be returning. Food was ok but it’s now served in a cardboard box…. which is not ok. At £14.00, I would appreciate my food being served on a plate, otherwise I’d have picked up a take away.Secondly, the service was dismal ….very young & inexperienced staff and obviously no management in place whatsoever. We were there for two hours and didn’t once see a table wiped down… not good practice these days.Really disappointing to see a lovely establishment lose it.

Stopped here for lunch . Never been to Shrewsbury but it was a nice sunny day and lunch next to river seemed like a good idea. We weren’t disappointed. The boathouse has a huge outdoor area and the service seemed well organised. Chose a charcuterie platter and a pizza to share between the two of this. This turned out to be a bit ambitious. The charcuterie platter had loads of cheese and meats on it and a nice pile of chunky bread. On hindsight, this would have been enough. Hey ho. It was all very good and we did our best to eat as much as possible. We sat by the edge of the river and we’re entertained by the comings and going’s of the river.

We stumbled upon this place ( my daughter went here alot and highly rated it ) .. on our week away visiting new grand baby .The young waitress was super nice and as we booked for the evening i asked for table 119, she said she would try her best. On arrival the lovely girl had managed to save our requested table !.. you cannot top great service on top ofsuper service ! Did not get her name but we were 6pm .. great food, super great staff and service .Highly recomended
