Stopped for a light bite, staff very welcoming, sat near a window as sun was shining. Our food was delicious. Atmosphere very relaxed. Will definitely be calling again.

Wonderful place, excellent manager, Dawn, and staff. Beautiful decor. Comfortable rooms in a lovely setting.I would highly recommend this for a quiet escape from everyday life.Home-made food, we know as husband wanted the pie of the day but the delivery was late and the steak was still slow roasting for the pie. Not an issue, he chose Cumberland sausage instead. Vegan/vegetarian options are available.

Turned up late on a Sunday and was greeted by very friendly staff that made us feel welcome and made a table up for us. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Probably one of the best roasts we've had out in a very long time. Situated in a beautiful, warm building with a cozy atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more, will definitely be returning.

Really lovely rooms, bar and restaurant; great value for money. Friendly, cheerful staff with a lovely welcome on arrival too. Good service and good food. Rooms a decent size and clean and comfy. Would stay again.

What a find!!!Just a small country pub, but with a great welcoming feel to it.4 chaps on a weekend motorcycle tour stayed here for 2 nights in very comfortable quiet room tucked away at the back of the car park, so well away from the busy road. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, with no air of formality, good sense of humour and a willingness to please.Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet with plenty of space in the car park, even though they were full.Bar and restaurant were very cosy and comfortable, but the food was top notch. Nothing poncey but very good quality, very well cooked and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.

Great pit stop for a bite to eat before travelling onto Yorkshire. Friendly welcome and great tasting home cooked food, mushroom soup delicious. Very smart and clean with accommodation available. Sean and Julie welsh.

Called in for a pint on a hot day after a rush around places. Choice of outdoor table or inside, in the shade. No time to eat but others were doing so and settled for cool pint of IPA and a packet of crisps. Excellent beer, well kept, cool and with a fresh, lemon, taste. Plenty of carparking, I believe they let rooms but check, good kitchen and cellar. Friendly staff, table service, recommended.
