A lovely stop-off on our cycle ride last Friday. Have not had chance to visit for some while. Will not leave it so long next time. Excellent bakewell tart and scone - worthy of bake-off!

·

Great place for a coffee and cake while walking along The Monty canal.

·

An out-of-the-way tea room experience. A warm welcome received. Excellent access to canalside walks after coffee and cake.

·

Best cup of tea had for a while, beautiful cakes and friendly staff. Worth a visit.

All a bit strange! No obvious opening times on their website. Made trip to find it thinking of returning with family later. Arrived 9:15. There was a car in the car park. But no signs of life. No sign I could see to say what opening hours or even where the entrance is. Door was open upstairs but that looked like accommodation. Had a wander around, couldn't see anyone so left.It does look to be a lovely spot. Someone told me they do Kayak hire which I was hoping to clarify but that remains a mystery too. Hopefully they will get a bit more organised as it looks a great location with much potential for relaxation and activities.

After 2 years of lockdown the world starts again. We booked for the horse-drawn canal barge trip with our old friend Cracker. The rain was falling, but it didn't matter. We just sat under cover and let it drift by. Lovely border country views, the Montgomery canal, and the Shropshire villages. An hour and half later we returned to the resteraunt, had a pot of real Tea, and the most divine carrot-cake ever. OK I exaggerate a teensie bit, but we love this place and we've missed it.

Fantastic place to visit. The staff are very welcoming and friendly.Perfect place to stop for Tea and a chill out while walking the Canal. While camping nearby we visited both days to hire Kayaks to explorer . Lovely and peaceful waterway.Worthy of a visit if your travelling through.

Best baking in this area. Great location by the canal, good selection of cakes, scones and beverages. Dog friendly . So pleased to see the cafe open again. Definitely on our list for a revisit after a canalside walk .

Isn't it nice when the tea is still hot in the pot for your second cup? I had a freshly baked cheese and chive scone with mine, sat in the shade outside overlooking the canal. And yes they sell local honey. Heaven.

Great place in the garden for an afternoon treat of delicious scones with lovely jam and cream. And teapot full of real tea! Our second visit in two days . Will be back . Lovely people and dog!!
