Carlini in Shropshire

Clearly saw the health inspector coming. Myself, my wife and our three year old all left feeling unwell after a disappointingly poor attempt at fine dining, I'd like to say something good but after receiving what we suspect is good poisoning all round including our little one it's a blessing we don't file suit against them.Not worth visiting, not worth risking the food, not worth the ten minute drive from our hotel that we should have made in the opposite direction.What a terrible mistake in all fashions.

A lot of dishonest reviews of this restaurant by militant vegansIf you look at all the 1 star reviews and check the other reviews made by those people you will see that they are Vegan.Normal healthy people rate this restaurant highly

The place looked nice so we made a reservation for 4. Neither of us particularly enjoyed our food. My husband and son both sent their food back. Wel, my husband, our 2 children, and I ended up with food poisoning. Please take our warning and DO NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

Fantastic restaurant. The meat was amazing. I love meat so much, this restaurant makes me so so glad I’m not a vegan.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EVER HAD!THE HEAD CHEF SPIKES VEGAN FOOD WITH MEAT. SISTER HAD A LACTOSE INTOLERANT DIET AND THE CHEF DELIBERATELY USED COW'S MILK IN THE MEAL.

Booked here for our wedding anniversary.Presentation and quality is certainly not fine dining. The pictures used on their website look fantastic but unfortunity are not what are served in the restaurant.My husband said during the meal that we will never come here again.Our startar was a smoked salmon and prawn terrine....very sloppy, poor presentation and just far too much cream cheese....(cheap ingredient).My husband's main was meatballs. Although the meat balls were nice, the tomato sauce was very runny/watery and tasteless. Presentation was poor.I chose the risotto and fish fillet. The fillet was cooked well but again the presentation was very poor and bland looking. Could have been presented a lot better....perhaps with some herbs would have improved the presentation.Desserts....they ran out of the tiramisu so I chose the crème brulee which was very nice. My husband chose a baked tart.....again the best of the three courses.We feel there are a lot of better restaurans locally of a similar price so do not envisage booking a meal there again.

I only visited as part of a group - Italian cuisine is not my favourite. But boy was a pleased with my meal - it was delicious! The restaurant itself is small so takes no more than 15 tables - my estimation as I didnt count. Very cosy and the manager was very accommodating of our group

Utterly disappointing. Not only poor quantity of food, but also a poor quality of food. Although a small amount was deducted from the bill and the waitress was apologetic, nobody from the kitchen came out to explain the diabolical standard of the food. It's fair to say that we will not return and will recommended that our friends in Shifnal don't bother wasting their money on such a disappointing experience.

Carlini's facilitated a party of 15 (including myself) last night. What can I say? To be honest if I could award 6 stars for the food, the pricing and the service I would give it. all dishes were exquisitely presented in such a way that one did not know whether they should eat it or just sit there admiring the care, artistry and attention that went into the creation of each meal. I cannot thank or compliment the chef (an artisan of his/her craft) and the staff for the warm friendly and efficient service. Don't just take my word for it. Go visit!

The best place to get your food spiked, especially if you are vegan. Expect your dish to be made with meat and diary products and then the chef making hateful comments about you on social media.
