Amazing fresh fish and chips. Could smell it walking back to the car from our amazing trek of Carding Mill Valley. Definitely worth a visit to this Chip shop if you park up in the little town for your visit to Carding Mill

One of the worst chippys ive ever had, everything soggy and ridiculously overpriced.

Food was OK, but christ do you have to wait for it.The two battered sausages looked like they were waiting a while to escape, food is not greasy but I think it's just evaporated due to the time spent in the heating cabinet.No personality or customer skills from the staff.

Horrid fish, cold and fatty, chips inedible,, cold, full of black eyes. Place to go if you love igastly fish and chips.

Nice chips but a tiny portion, again. I’m local and have been going here for years. More recently we’ve been travelling further, to craven arms, where the chips are slightly better and where the portion is at least half as much again for the same price. Tonight I went back to Stretton chip shop where I waited 10 minutes (as they never have enough chips cooked and ready). I was waiting at the end of the shop, as other people were queueing, when I heard the one member of staff say to the other “there should be enough” whilst the other member of staff struggled to get every last chip out of the warming tray. On seeing the wrapped up portion, I politely asked “is there a full period there?” to which both staff replied “yes”. When I got home and opened them up, there were barely enough chips for a child. A real shame, as I like using local shops and takeaways and don’t usually write negative comments but they really do need to buck up their ideas and stop exploiting the fact that they are the only fish and chip shop in town and have a captive audience. Personally, I’ll be going back to craven arms in the future

We’ve had a busy day walking and I was desperate for fish and chips! Phoned ahead and ordered thankfully, collected at five. Drove up the Mynd and literally soaked up the sunset with a delicious meal! Piping hot food - quality fish and yummy curry sauce. It will go down as one of my best meals and one we will remember for a long time 😚

Called in last night on my way down from Chester to Devon as the town has a couple of electric vehicle chargers (yes town council, they do bring in trade!), wasn't expecting too much as you often take what you can get whilst out on the road. So pleasantly surprised to be eating some of the best fish and chips I've ever had...lovely fish in light, crispy, non greasy batter, generous portion of chips, beautifully cooked, and again not a hint of grease on the paper, and excellent value. I make this trip fairly often, so no doubt whatsoever I'll be returning in the not too distant future.
