Great food. There was an issue in the kitchen which led to some delay with our food. However the professional way that this was addressed, meant that it was still a lovely, memorable, early Mothers Day meal. The pub is in a beautiful setting with a gate into the park, which was ideal for an after lunch play about with our toddler.

Popped in for a couple of drinks, then decided to sit down for a roast. My husband had pork, I choose chicken, but this dish was sold out, but instead had a delicious fish pie and vegetables. Couldn't resist a sticky toffee pudding and my husband had the lemon tart. Thank you to Matt and his friendly staff for accommodating us at short notice. See you all again in April, coming with some friends for Sunday lunch. πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—

The Cross Keys is a very friendly well stocked pub serving really nice food. Our plan was to meet up for a quick drink before checking into Crest Country Retreats. Being such a cosy and friendly atmosphere that turned into two. The pub serves a couple of nice cask ales and the usual lagers. We also visited on Saturday while waiting for the bus to Oswestry. Finally, we had a Sunday lunch booked which was probably the best beef roast dinner that I have had. I must find out the supplier of your meats. The prawn cocktail starter could have had a little bit more Marie Rose sauce other than that everything else was fabulous. Sunday lunch turned into a late afternoon before returning to the hot tub at our lodge.

Fabulous Sunday lunch. Big portions, beef was succulent, good variety of vegetables. Excellent service. Would definitely visit again

What I would call boutique pub. Character stripped out. Not a warm cosy pub for me. Don't get me wrong, but it is trying to be trendy and upmarket. For which you pay a bit more than normal. Had a ciabatta which nearly cracked my teeth. Crunch. Chips were good. However, had better for less. Service fine.

Great Country Public House, very tasteful inside retaining some of the old features. Great food, excellent staff, would recommend.

Had a Birthday lunch. The food was first class. Even with a reduced menu due to Covid, the food was delicious.
