We were shown where to sit and given our menus. Our order was taken quite quickly and a few minutes later our very small pot of tea and latte arrived. We had been waiting for our food for about 30 minutes and watched people arriving after ourselves and receiving their food but ours did not come. We were just about to ask where our food was when a waitress came to us and said it had been dropped on the floor so they were going to make a fresh order. This turned up a few minutes later but in the back of my mind wondering was this the one that had been on the floor or had we just been forgotten about and that was an excuse. By the time the food had arrived the small cup of tea and latte had long gone and we were asked if we wanted more but we decided not to buy another small pricey cup of tea.Sorry but not really a good experience.

Great food, the quality and the choice. The gluten free options are delicious. The service is also excellent . This place is well worth a visit either for takeaway or sit in.

A fab cafe/tearoom serving delicious cakes and sandwiches to eat in or take away. The staff are exceptional- so friendly and welcoming.

Lovely little cafe with upstairs seating.Staff are amazing, so friendly and willing to go out of their way to help.Not from Shrewsbury so wasn't aware about prebooking the afternoon tea but they were more than happy to still serve us one.Very tasty food with homemade scones which were delicious.

Lots of history to this tea room. Go upstairs and sit in this fab period room. Great service and a lovely Shropshire welcome. Gf cakes on sale here - that are baked and not born in a packet.

An excellent cafe / restaurant with friendly staff selling wonderful cakes with all options for Gluten Free, Vegan & Plant based cakes as well. Soy & Oat milks also available. Extra seating available upstairs so well worth dropping in to see what’s on offer.

We had a lovely lunch here. Upstairs is very cozy with a view of the street so make sure to try get a table up there. The soup and cheese board is the perfect portion on a cold winter’s day and so well presented! The service was great too and the cakes looked delicious. Would highly recommend.

Went here today, one of the many places that was open despite the floods, had a delicious raspberry scone cream tea, staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Also there's lots of seating upstairs which is in a lovely old wood panelled room, very relaxing.

Delicious fresh homemade cakes, scones and sandwiches. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and made to feel welcome by the owner and all staff. Can't wait for a return visit
