Devonshire Arms in Shropshire

This review relates to the Brasserie only. The food is overpriced and very ordinary. The Macaroni is just some dried pasta cooked with a plain sauce. It did taste of truffle but there were no crispy challottes. Very disappointing.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here with the family. The service was excellent and the food was lovely. Really enjoyed our time here. Would definitely recommend.

Went to my niece's wedding which was amazing. We had a BBQ and the quality of the meat was the best I've ever had. The chef cooking it ( Jason) was so accommodating as one of our party brought her dog and had to walk him and boxed up food for her. All the staff couldn't do enough to make your stay memorable. Not to mention the goodies in your room. Fantastic.

I took my mum to the bistro for a mother's day lunch. I hadn't been here before and I won't rush back. Perhaps the main restaurant is better but the bistro looked tired, was pretty empty and the food while well cooked, was simple and a little uninspiring. We had three courses for £30. The portions on the smarter dishes were very small, the pasta main was a good size, but mostly pasta not much sauce and under-seasoned. Dessert was again small. For a £200 a night hotel, I expected better.

We visited The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa recently for a special occasion - WOW! The welcome was warm and friendly, open fires roaring, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was stunning with a special welcome gift to help us celebrate and a basket of local, complimentary treats. The cleanliness of the room was beautiful, bed beyond comfortable and the decor, bathroom and toiletries were luxurious. We visited The Spa on-site which was superb. The food, evening meal and breakfast was faultless. The hotel surroundings are idyllic and relaxing and there are some beautiful walks on the doorstep. This was our first visit and it will certainly not be our last - travel is back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hotel is certainly in the very top league within UK. From location to service, comfort, quality, cleanliness and value it is beyond comparison. It would be hard to better almost anywhere. Booked a full spa day for me and the other half and I was not disappointed.Greated by a lovely chap (don't know his name) who made us feel very welcome, the treatments were amazing (shoutout to Juliet) and the facial left me feeling very decompressed.Would 100% recommend

This is located the very top end of North Yorkshire. Service was very good but found the brasserie food pricey for what it was. Very clean toilets, pleasant staff and nice surroundings. Didn't stay over at hotel just popped in for lunch.

Our stay was amazing here. The staff were friendly, the cocktails were incredible, the bed was so comfortable. We were given lovely welcome gifts and food. Can’t wait to come back

I'd love to give this 5 stars because the staff are lovely and the setting is gorgeous but just can't because of our experience.We came for our honeymoon, room was nice with a great view but went for dinner and had to wait for 2 hours for our food to arrive at the champagne and seafood bar. The food was good but my wife and I found the wines to be uninspiring and a bizarrely small selection for a champagne bar!Booked in at the spa the next day and that was superb, salvaging the overall experience for us. Altogether though the experience was only okay.
