Dobbies Garden Centre in Shropshire

Great place for breakfast (with 2 & a half yr old grandson). Friendly & helpful staff & safe & clean childs play area.

Lovely garden centre clean and well stocked shame about the cafe restaurant was lovely and clean shame about the food quality and the cleanliness behind the food counter . This leaves alot to be desiredA real shame as it used to be very good. It may help if the server's actually smiled occasionally.

Bank holiday Friday. Busy roads, busy place, but called in to use the cafe. Dealt with quickly and efficiently. Good portions at reasonable price.

Bought a patio rose, looked in good condition. Lady on till, said it had a lifelong guarantee. Not much choice of shrubs, plenty of bedding plants. All looked in good condition. Had lunch, unfortunately very bland. Fish looked large but was all batter, no fish. Was really looking forward to visiting Dobies, unfortunately I was not impressed. Really thought they would have a large selection of shrubs. Never mind.

Well organised, good choice of plants and wide variety of gardening equipment and gift items. Good cafe. Our main reason to visit was to look at clothing, particularly Edinburgh Woollen Mills products which we thought were still available there. Sadly this range has now been discontinued. Plants and other products a little on the high side! Still a pleasant shopping experience with plenty of parking.

Mixing review score.. Decent garden centre, food! Dam awful.. Cold coffee..mix of lukewarm ham on top of cold ham, eggs not bad, cold chips. Don't expect miracles. But, if I had time send it back I would.. Sadly ibWas in rush, left half of it,, bakewell was not bad,,

Helpful staff, a guy stocking the shelves pointed me in the direction of what I was looking for, a lady went into the warehouse to look for wellies and a lovely lady on the till advised me on their loyalty card which saved me some money 😌 thank you Megan! Well done Dobbies on your courteous professional staff. And the shop is nice too!

Breakfast with Santa was absolutely amazing.The moment we turned up every member of staff we're so lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was nice. The children's presents were really really good and Santa himself was absolutely incredible. Honestly he is the best Santa we have ever seen. He was so lovely and kind to each child. The highlight for us was he made such an effort with our child who has complex special needs. She absolutely adored him and he made the whole experience for us an unforgettable one.We cant recommend Dobbies and the Breakfast with Santa experience enough, especially to those looking for a suitable place to take their children with special needs. We will definitely be back.

Had a really lovely afternoon tea here. Family friendly and very reasonably priced, with kids versions available too. The staff were very helpful and the balance of savoury/ sweet food was spot on. The softplay is now open again so we were able to tie in a play for the kids.

Large selection of beautiful plants and other garden items. A lot of the plants were a good price, similar to places such as B and Q.They also have a medium sized selection of kitchen and home items. If you are taking a break at the service station it is the same car park so I would suggest it is worth a quick visit.
