Dorrington Old Hall Persian Cuisine in Shropshire

This is exactly the sort of place that I like to eat out in. Very different food and beautifully cooked. Friendly service and nice wines.

I am so pleased that this place seems to have survived the pandemic. The food here is of unparalleled quality and is delicious. There is always a warm welcome and I feel at home. What more could anyone want from a restaurant?

Very disappointed. Reviews looked good. I am an extremely well travelled man having lived in the middle east and the far east for 20 years.The food was very salty. Heated up. The flavors were difficult to find and not well balanced. They've taken some good ideas but their version of fusion only blands everything out.I love food. Therefore, I won't be wasting my time and money here again. Sorry, but that's the truth. I owe it to future potential diners to write this review.

The food here is stunning; as someone who can ordinarily be quite fussy, I have yet to find anything that I haven’t really enjoyed and will eat anything on the menu. Even the side-salad with the starter is full of interesting flavours. The only downside is we think I t’s so good we rarely convince ourselves to eat anywhere else when in Shropshire

Excellent combination of Persian and Indian. Very fresh and tasty. Friendly service. Well worth a visit. We went Friday evening and it was quiet. This place deserves more customers.

When we lived in Shropshire, Old Hall Persian Restaurant was a regular favourite of ours so when we came back to visit friends we knew where we wanted to eat. We had the Banquet tasting menu which gave us lots of lovely flavours to enjoy and there was more than enough food for us. All in all another really lovely tasty meal

The owner was very keen to limit numbers, so booking is essential.The food was good and some of the spices new to me. Some subtle use of them.I opted for a wine from Lebanon which was a fine example.The waitress was friendly and the experience was enjoyable.

Another lovely meal - overnight stop in our motorhome. Subtly spiced, Persian inspired dishes well cooked. Generous portions.

We've never tried Persian food before so had no idea what to expect. We explained we are Vegan and allowed our meal to be guided by the proprietor. We weren't disappointed. What a superb meal with flavours we've never had before.I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Definitely will be back to this family run friendly restaurant.
