Visited restaurant last night, felt sceptical as one or two bad reviews however I had a fantastic experience! Just goes to show not all review are correct. The atmosphere from all the staff felt welcoming nothing was too much trouble especially with my allergies, and I thank you for this. The restaurant felt calming and me and my partner felt very relaxed on our child free night out. We will definitely be returning.Thank you.

We returned to this restaurant to find the menu had been significantly reduced. This and the lack of an alcohol licence leads me to suspect it has changed hands. The service was fine, the dishes on the whole were good but the food literally came out a dish at a time with long intervals in between. On a table of four we were descending on each dish as we were hungry. You expect tapas to come out as it's ready but this was very slow and frustrating. Although not Spanish the previous menu had nacho sharing platter which was amazing. The new version was smaller and used premade guacamole like sauce rather than real guacamole, not a patch on the previous version. Overall disappointing, I don't think we'll be returning.

Great food and fantastic staff, really couldn't have been made to feel more welcome! I would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the near future.

Set menu for 14 of us. We weren't sure what to expect but the food was delicious and it just kept coming. Would definitely recommend.

·

Lovely little find. It has a nice atmosphere and menu. We ordered 3 tapas each which was more than enough. There was a big party in, which may have slowed down our dishes as they came out one at a time.

Andy Richardson's review of Cafe Ruiz in The Shropshire Star could not have been more derogatory. It might have put me off booking for our party of 8 this evening.I am so glad it didn't. We had a truly fabulous time. Plenty of ambience, delicious food (especially the calamari and garlic chicken). Front of house were genuine, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. They didn't rush us and we relaxed in the lovely atmosphere. Words to describe Cafe Ruiz would be relaxed, warm, authentic, delicious, ambient and a great place to relax with friends. Just goes to show you should always find out for yourself!

The staff were friendly and welcoming, joining us in a giggle at one point, and the atmosphere once a few more tables were occupied really made the night. The food was really good, hot and very tasty and an excellent selection, 3 dishes each was just the right amount. Will be going back, thankyou for a lovely meal and a great night 👌🏼😋👍🏻
