Had the Coronation Chicken sandwich on Granary, wow, up there with the best sandwich I have ever had.

Never been there before but my god I left knowing I'd eaten. Only had a sandwich and felt like I'd had a Sunday roast. The staff were charming and polite. Great service and the whole place was very clean. The menu was extensive, something for everybody. All l can say is it was quality All round and l will be back. Give it a go.👍

Disappointing to have been charged more for something that was offered as an alternative as you didn’t have the basics, no discussion about the uplift in price no alternatives offered at the same price - they just assumed I would be happy to pay.I did to avoid any issues in store. having now made a phone call to the owner assuming that he would possibly take my side on this and come up with some apology or a amicable solution. He went off on some tangent explaining that the employees do not have the ability to discount any item in anyway - and if I decided to choose a more expensive items I should be happy to pay !How about this alternative get your deliveries in and on time before your busy periods - have a back up plan should it happen again that may help. Saddened now that what could’ve been a very nice chat and an easy resolution has now turned into a loss of a customer . Are you bothered by losing one customer no I’m sure you’re not. Hanging up while I’m still talking to you proved that. I’m incredibly embarrassed and disappointed by your behaviour.

Good location, food looks good in the counter. Coffee was spot on, cakes were lovely. I'd avoid the turkey baguette. The baguette is a pappy sub type roll. The turkey was in big lumps, the excessive cranberry sauce made the whole roll soggy and inedible so I threw half of it away. This on top of the slow service from 6 members of staff standing around cost them 2 stars. Have tried a sausage roll from here before and it was delicious. Shame.

Very busy Deli, excellent array of cheeses, meats, cakes,etc..Sandwiches,baps made at counter. Busy dinner times. Their Cafe at back redesigned, not as cosy as before meals gone up in price. Very clean.

First time for a while that we've been into Gillhams. The food was good, as was the service, but it was so noisy, we could hardly hear each other. That's the reason I've given four stars and not five. The café looks lovely, but could do with something to deaden the sound a bit. The hard floor, high ceilings, etc and not much in the way of anything soft to absorb noise, and people speaking loudly to be heard over other voices, made it too noisy. We enjoyed our food, but we're glad to get back outside for a bit of quiet. It's a shame because it's a lovely café.

Absolutely brilliant and unassuming café right on the high street. Like so many of the best high street places, there is more behind the shop front than you'd expect, including delicious takeaway as well as a seating area with a real pleasant ambiance. We visited on a bank holiday Monday, just looking for a nice lunch whilst doing a little shopping. We couldn't have asked for better. The food was excellent, the staff were wonderful (all of them, without exception), and the facilities in very good condition. I would have taken some photos of the food etc., but I was far too busy eating it 🙂Very highly recommended.
