Wow .We passed this restaurant many times .And are we glad we stopped and went in.Fabulous deco .Outstanding food .Most of all professional attentive table service.Well done ladies .

The whole point of booking a table it so you have a table waiting. Being seated 30 minutes after your booking is not acceptable. It was more like a rugby club bar when we arrived. Have never had an experience like this before so won’t be returning.

Still a great place to go for a beer. Still a lovely, friendly place to go to eat. A great combination made special by a professional team of staff. Thanks.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. The lamb shank and game pie were outstanding. We had a table of 7 and everyone left very happy.

What a great place. Staff are lovely and very welcoming. Food is perfect - if you want changes to a meal on the menu - you can have it. Nothing is too much trouble for them.Very Covid safe - well as safe as they can be, with lots of space in between tables and total waitress service.Would definitely highlight recommend.A very pleasant dining experience.Thank you Tanya and staff 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lovely pub, great staff. Clean toilets. Lots of seating choices.Beef was tasty but have had better quality. Vegetables were fine, except no cauliflower cheese. but not much for two dinners. The gravy was plentiful,we had asked for extra. It was a bit strong tasting.Also the air conditioning made it very cold , my partner was fine and so were others on the big table. Although there was an elderly gentleman who had put his coat on. As I did alsoI didn't mention it as I know how warm it can get,having experienced being a waitress.The staff were very helpful and checked on us.

We had mussels in a cream and pernod sauce to start, with a generous helping of bread to clean up the sauce. If you like mussels I would recommend trying this disk. For my main I had steak Diane, the fillet steak was cooked perfectly and was larger than you get in most places. The steak was tender and tasty, no real need for a steak knife. This came with veg and large hand cut chips, I prefer fries but those who like larger chips would be happy. Overall a great meal.

The car park can be tricky to get into - if approaching from north, the entrance is just past the pub, cutting across traffic. It's also blind getting out, due to close proximity to the road, so be cautious when entering/leaving.I'd been to this place some years back in my youth, but was unprepared for how it'd changed - it's become an pleasant open-plan restaurant that's more catering-specific, with a small bar and servery area with much nicer decor than the dingy bar I remember.We were shown shown to our table and meals ordered swiftly - it wasn't hugely busy (I only saw another another 5 tables occupied). I didn't find any menu online, but it seems the menu changes quite frequently (and our menus were only printed that morning) so don't expect the same dishes available - but nonetheless there were a huge range of options to choose from, accompanying any differences in catering tastes.My colleague had fish (which was huge!) with chips and peas, which came with a delicious home-made tartare sauce he loved. I picked a home-made steak & kidney pie, a generous thick slice full of meat, covered in dark rich gravy. Both meals came with very thick-cut steak chips, dryly fried, almost oven-baked, with fluffy inner that soaked up gravy... possibly the best chips I've encountered and were utterly perfect for this kind of meal.Accompaniments for my meal included a small bowl of steamed veg (broccoli, cauliflower and French beans), just the right amount.We stayed for a dessert, also - a lovely treacle sponge with creamy custard.I found the table service engaging and attentive, no sensation of being rushed. A pleasant decor and calm surroundings with plenty of good meals to choose from... I'm definitely coming again!

Had a lovely meal here, the decor and ambience was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff, food was fab, with a very good choice. The only negative was even though there was a choice of childrens main meals, there was no choice of desserts, only adult size portions. Wouldn't stop me returning though.
