Foods good, and it’s just such a cute country pub! Is this the best steak and ale pie in the world? Probably not, but are you looking for that in a country pub outside of Wolves? No. And you get exactly what you deserve here. A decent meal, a great pint with lovely people.

Lovely pub in the countryside. Nice choice of drinks including ale. Staff very friendly. We were a larger party of 9 and mostly had the Sunday roast. Meat and yorkshire pud was delicious but would have liked more vegetables. 1 side of cauliflower cheese is definitely enough to share between 2-3 people. Service was a little slow and food when it did come out a few plates were a little cold. It was a Sunday afternoon and this was quickly rectified however. Would love to return but will try a different menu and day.

The Inn at Shipley was a lovely quiant country pub towards the West of Wolverhampton. The approach to the pub was welcoming with a warming message outside from the team. The team were attentive and friendly on entry to the pub and provided great customer service throughout the visit. We had booked a table for a larger number but some of our guests couldn't make it. The pub quickly rectified this with a more suitable table. The tables were well spread out to allow for a safe dining experience. Inside had a vintage and cosy dining experience; the usual fireplaces and low ceilings.Pros:* Great customer service* Excellent quality of food. The menu had a good selection of choices available.* The atmosphere in the pub was very chilled.Cons:* The temperature was a little uncomfortable. It was a little too hot for us and even after we had to switch one radiator off.* The Game sausage roll was dry and the pastry was under done.* The toilets did not have a toilet roll holder and were a little dated.* The chips was slightly undercooked.Overall we would recommend and visit again. 8/10.

We had a wonderful family gathering for a special birthday meal. The staff were amazing. Literally could not do enough, and really were so lovely. Food was delicious. The layout of this place is very special, you have the pub/restaurant feel but also little tables are placed in spaces that make it feel private and personal. As we were a big party we were given a back room which was out own private space. Probably best because the children got rather excitable and noisy after pudding then cake! The food is pricey but worth every penny. Will be returning!

We just happened to drive by and dropped in for lunch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My wife had the Mediterranean veg main which was excellent. I had steak and ale pie with mash, parsnips in a gorgeous red wine sauce. This was also excellent but could have done with a little less salt seasoning in the pie. The pub itself had so much old charm and we'd definitely visit again.

Fantastic from start to finish. Hired the private dining room (no deposit required). Food was great quality with healthy portions. And good value for money. Service was exceptional. Thank you Hayley & team for an A* evening!
