Dropped in for lunch with no expectations, immediately struck by the ambiance and character of the place. Service was fast and friendly, and the food was top notch. Will definitely visit again.

Fantastic birthday meal this lunch time! It's evening now and I'm still struck how good my lunch was today. Like being in an old style restaurant in a town in Italy. The gentleman serving was fantastic covering the whole restaurant with casual efficiency. A truly great three course lunch with wine at a very good price.Will be back soon!

Very authentic food in a cosy setting! And the lunch deal is a steal at 8:50 for a main with salad and a glass of wine or soft drink. The deserts are also to die for! Must book to avoid disappointment.

What a fantastic find. Food was the best Italian we have ever had. Such a quirky little place. Danielle looked after us so well - an excellent front of house person - she made us feel so welcome. Can highly recommend this place - you won't be disappointed.

Had a meal with the family here today, but not my first visit. I have never experienced anything but excellence here. It doesn’t matter what dish they have in the daily offer - I would be happy to order it and know it will always be fantastic. Friendly service too…thanks!

Having read the awesome reviews and the fact that we've visited this place a number of times and never been left disappointed up to now, i feel a little embarrassed to write this review, but I feel the need to share my experience. We must have fallen unlucky on the night?? 🤔 So, my wife and i went here on our wedding anniversary, for an 8pm slot. Does eating out at this time mean that we have a ridiculously restricted choice of dessert? In my eyes it shouldn't do. Like, we were in at 8pm, out at 8.40pm (15minutes of that time waiting for the bill) having had just a main course and a drink. Hardly any choice left on dessert menu. Customers should not be being informed after the main course that basically most desserts had gone at lunchtime should they? I'm presuming that this does happen on a regular basis because we overheard the same conversation at the table adjacent to us. So perhaps something can be changed or improved so this doesn't happen? Very disappointed. Will use other Italian restaurants in town in future where we've never ever left feeling like this. Sorry.

My wife an me went late afternoon, and due to time constraints we just had the one course . The food was really nice, and a lovely vibe, and a very authentic and intimate Italian setting, with very amiable service. We will definitely go again for a 'proper meal' and would recommend this place for sure. Only slight gripe, no draught beers, just bottled.

Fantastic little find in the heart of Shrewsbury. The photos don't do it justice. Really great food, wine and such friendly service. £8.50 for pasta and wine is a bargain. Coffee is no to bad either.

We had a wonderful meal. Plenty of fish. Lovely place. Staff were really friendly. Great relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended. Good prices.

Cannot fault it!! Beautiful little restaurant... Amazing, fresh food and speedy service. House wine was top notch and Nico makes you feel right at home. Fillet steak was so good we wanted to book for the next night but unfortunately they were full! Absolutely worth a visit. Only got a photo of the starters... We demolished the mains too quickly!
