Lepone's in Shropshire

We had a really lovely meal here at the weekend. Recommended highly to us by Michael at Nant Gloyw B&B, we were not disappointed. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. My children were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for this lovely team of staff. We were on a tight budget and I felt this restaurant represented excellent value for money. Had a meal here with. my wife, step son & grandson. Food was delicious, waiter and waitress excellent. Atmosphere was really chilled and calm. Would highly recommend a visit!

Our first time here, what a surprise. The tomato brushetta was lovely and I had the puttenesca, which was fantastic. We all enjoyed our different, starters, mains and desserts. Would definitely recommend. If I'm ever back in the area this is where I would head.

Beautifully converted building. Food was exceptional. Lamb and fillet steak cooked to perfection.

Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely ownerItalian Cuisine is never my first choice but a special occasion is a special occasion. In lieu of olives and cheese I opted for a traditional Spaghetti dish. It was wonderful, I didn't expect the sauce to be so good!

Disappointed as we had read such good reviewsSat down to be informed they had ran out of Pizza dough !!!!! it was 6.40pm they opened at 5.00pm 😳The menu was brought to us which turned out to be third of what is shown on the web pageHad to ask for black pepper for the spagheti not offered parmesan No bread with soupwhen asked why reduced menu wAsnot on web page was informed it was !!! Lovely last minute meal out - great food and drinks, pleasant and efficient staff (especially seeing as there was only person serving several tables), and great decor and atmosphere. We haven't been for a good few years, but great to see the quality of the food and service is still great, and my fave starter crostino de contadino was still on the menu, and just as tasty as I remember. It is a slightly reduced menu now due to covid, but still enough choice for us pescetarians. Portions were pretty generous - loads of bread in the sourdough and olives starter, and I was expecting the sea bass to be quite small, so nice surprise there! One ice cream sundae was more than enough for two of us to share as dessert after the other courses. Presentation of the food was beautiful as always.Not too crowded, well-ventilated, and covid measures were clear and adhered to, so we felt safe. As an added bonus I very much enjoyed the 60s/70s music playlist they had on, and I could hear a few other people humming along as well! All in all, a great evening out, and I'm very glad we picked Lepone's.

Visiting wales for a couple days and fancied some Italian food. A few people recommended lepones with high praises so I decided to visit it myself. Fantastic service, staff offered me a drink while I waited for my food. The food came quicker than expected and was both hot and tasty. I recommend the spaghetti al pomodoro. Pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant as well. I genuinely would come again with the family the next time I have the opportunity to visit Oswestry again.

Great food, staff and ambience. The building makes the experience very special. Absolutely outstanding. Wonderful.
