A lovely hotel and spa with friendly and helpful staff. The food is good quality and reasonably priced.I wasn't keen on the breakfast sausages, but that's a personal thing.

When you want to get out of city to spend some quality time, would still recommend to look somewhere else.. quiet dated and small rooms and not much to do around.. hoped to enjoy some spa, but 2 saunas, 1 jacuzzi and small swimming pool is just not enough to handle many people, even though i think it was quiet a season of our visit.. beautiful nature if you don't mind busy road running on a side of the hotel. Restaurant well presented, with adequate quality of food and level of price. Staff were friendly all along, very nice people in general in the area :)

Lovely spa weekend experience, great staff, fabulous facilities, definitely value for money. Clean hotel with nice big room and fabulous views. Waterside restaurant has good choice of menu, our evening meal and buffet breakfast were both quality. We booked spa treatments, unfortunately and quite disappointingly the mud rasul was not available on the day so was changed to a facial, the evening table service was on the slow side thus 4 stars given.

Booked a room with 3 course dinner, access to the spa, and hot chocolate and cookies. Before turning up I wasn't told check in or check out times, or any form of contact from the venue, just confirmation. Upon arrival I was told that we could only have dinner at 5pm, we arrived at 3:30pm. This meant we could no longer use the spa or enjoy any of the extra perks of the package that was paid for. I understand it is Valentines weekend however there was no contact by Lion Quays so I had no idea of their procedure. The room itself is well presented, we had a view of the canal and a balcony (not used because February and raining). The towels however had dirt and marks on them, either had been poorly cleaned or left by the cleaners who assumed they were clean. The restaurant itself and food were great, service was prompt and they have a great drinks selection.

Modern room and very comfortable bed! Loved the complimentary fizz and muffins on arrival. Good selection of machines in the gym and was nice to relax in the pool/sauna after. Great hotel and would definitely stay again!

We paid £140 for a double room and while it's not terrible, it's absolutely not worth that much money, £90 at the most. Bed and pillows are uncomfortable, shabby decor and a LOT of noise for adjoining rooms. The gym is excellent, as is the breakfast and the staff were all nice and polite too.

A shame to give 1 star with an industry badly hit by Covid, but this hotel is so awful, we cut our losses and went and stayed at another hotel. I originally paid extra for a garden room, what an absolute joke that was. £204 for a room that I would have felt ripped off for had it cost me £50. The Waterside Restaurant is nice enough. The Spa facilities are nice, but what the pictures don't tell you is that they pack people in like sardines. Genuinely will never consider coming back to this place ever again.

Executive room very small and dated. Nice view of canal. Had to send evening meal back as cheese put on chicken burger despite no mention of it in the description. Hubby's meal was kept warm but fish went soggy. My fries were lukewarm but fresh burger was very hot. Expensive for what it was and poor quality.Deal included thermal suit access however it was extremely busy and so decided not to use as felt unsafe with current covid situation. Also leisure complex was in a separate building from the hotel so not ideal in the inclement weather and being disabled. All in all a very expensive stay with poor value.

Spent a wonderful day at the Spa for a friends 50 birthday, the staff made us feel very welcome and pampered. The suite we had was beautiful, with our own jacuzzi and sauna .Lunch was delivered to the suite and was delicious. We all had a mud treatment which was fun. We ate at the hotel, food was great , felt like the staff there were maybe new, but okay service. Would definitely recommend it for groups, thank you to the staff. Fabulous weekend can’t wait to do it again!!!
