Ludlow Castle Tea Room in Shropshire

Excellent lunch, all home made. The soup was excellent as was the goats cheese salad. The Victoria sponge cake was the best I have tasted for a long long time!

Fabulous lunch, so good we went back later for afternoon tea and scones (the chefs homemade jam was to die for!)

Great place...we had a late breakfast..the most delicious porridge! Dog friendly too.

Food quite nice, but menu a bit fancy for a "cafe". If you're looking for a sandwich, this isn't the place to come!

What better than to sit in the castle in the sun and take a break with a drink and cake or a light meal.A goodly selection of fare, including gluten free items, on the menu. Not too expensive compared with some other locations.Good clean interior and exterior. Attentive, pleasant staff top off the cafe features.

Courteous and friendly staff. Nice to have a proper tea service in China crockery. .Food was delicious. An ideal location on the garden terrace to enjoy lunch. Dog friendly on the terrace was a big plus for us

We loved the cafe! Excellent lunch options, and they kindly provided a high chair for us. Great baby changing facilities there too. The staff were really attentive and polite, and the food arrived quickly. Highly recommend!

We went for an afternoon scone + tea (around 3.50pm).The Castle Cafe is now doing outdoor seating and in glorious weather, an ideal time to go. On a Wednesday afternoon, when it is not busy - this was a great idea.The scones are homemade and go very well with the mixed berry jam + butter. And with several cups of tea. You pay slightly more here than other cafes, but it is most worth it.This is the first time I have done outdoor seating in a cafe for months, and it is something that has been missed a lot.
