The Mandarin has been here as long as I can remember and is reliable enough to sate that evening hunger on your way home after a few beers. It is reasonably priced and reasonable quality, but not my first choice for Chinese takeaway. It's fine, but not special

Passing through Shrewsbury I checked the reviews and called in at The Mandarin for a Special Fried Rice. Quickly prepared, piping hot, generous portion and friendly service. Excellent value too. Tasty as well obviously.

Ordered for 8 people, all meals was spot on. Proper chips lovely food. Probably best I have had so far in Shrewsbury. Come in the time they said and still hot

Consistently great Chinese food. 1/4 duck comes on the bone so that it stays moist, salt and chilli chicken can be dry, but still tasty. Salt and chilli prawns are excellent. Other dishes are plentiful and tasty. Will always choose this place over any other for Chinese grub.
