Marks & Spencer in Shropshire

Would of been 5 stars,food is great,staff are lovely.The queuing in the restaurant is rediculous and totallyUnacceptable.The staff do their best,more big companiesCutting staff to do the same job !!!!!!

I popped in today to look for an afternoon tea package I’d seen online and couldn’t order. I knew it was a long shot of it being there to be purchased but wanted to try. I looked around for a while but couldn’t see it. I was about to leave when thought I’d ask at customer service. A young girl at the desk took the time to go round with me and find all the items to put it together. Amazing. Wish I’d taken the time to find her name.

If I could give zero stars I would ! The staff on the self serve till area are shockingly rude and miserable. I have been going in this store since it opened and of late the staff service has been horrendous! I have shopped at this store since it opened, quality food and excellent staff, who are extremely helpful - nothing is too much trouble! Today (21.05.21) I had occasion to return French Patisserie back to the store. The cakes were awful! I went to the office/customer services, I was attended to by a very helpful lady from the bakery area. I explained the reason for my return and produced a part eaten cake. She was brilliant, checked my receipt and her Manager authorised a refund - well done Wendy - you were brilliant even though you were busy. That is why I shop at M & S, excellent service - well done!

The worst aspect of shopping at Marks and Spencer Food Hall at Meole Brace is the appallingly poor accessibility, invariably a line of traffic trying to get in, then M&S Parking Spaces which are far toosmall, and too little room for manoeuvring, and lastly difficulty in exiting the site, with only one exit, and another long queue of cars .If you can tolerate all the access problems, the Store itself is well laid out, and easy to navigate for general shopping. Fresh Fruit and Vegetables are well displayed and excellent quality. The Fish and Seafood is also very good, also the fresh Meat, I especially recommend the Angus Beef. The extensive range of Marks and Spencer Ready Meals are good value and very tasty, a useful standby in any home. M&S Bread is acceptable, but the range needs to be expanded to include more interesting Continental ideas. There is always a good display of Flowers and Plants, which are ideal if you want a gift as they are already gift wrapped. All in all this is a good shopping experience with a team of very helpful Staff who are knowledgeable about the product lines.

We had excellent service at the cafe here today. All the staff were very nice, especially a lady named June, who really made the service seem so much better than you would ever expect from a cafe. It felt like she looked after each customer as if it was her own family restaurant, really caring, genuine and professional. My two year old daughter smilled whenever she passed. A quick bite to eat turned into a really enjoyable lunch. We will be back again!

It's always a special treat when I go to M&S for some food. It's not a huge supermarket but has all the basics you need. I find it sometimes easier to get bits here and tend to get healthier food options. Can't go wrong with some fish and veg from here. Might be a bit more expensive but if I'd rather eat less of the good stuff than more of the junk. Not sure I practice what I preach but sounds good in theory. The bread is a bit too tasty also. If you get the tiger/giraffe stuff that's baked in store. Usually disappears fast if we get it.

As always good M+S food but M+S need to up their game re customer service. Each visit presents with nobody on checkout tills or extremely long queues - not good enough that customers have to ask/look for somebody. I am more than able to use the self service tills but chose not to + would very much appreciate not to continually be advised by M+S staff to use them! Customer service needs to improve - ? employ more staff might be a good idea.

Exiting car park can be difficult at busy times, but great range of produce, lovely staff and so convenient for collection of clothing ordered online. Just wish food had better expiry date so could actually do a week's shop in one go.

Sometimes there is a lot of traffic getting into the retail park, but m & s food is worth the effort. There were plenty of people shopping in M&S and the cafe was doing well. Lots of choice and staff very helpful. Good visit today.
