Mayurees House of Yum in Shropshire

Really nice Thai.We had the pad thai, beef in oyster sauce and satays (lovely peanut sauce, would have happily had a big bowl of just that and rice).Obviously popular as the staff all seemed really busy, be warned cash only (we had to cut down on what we ordered as didn't have enough cash to really go nuts).

Came across this place by chance while looking round Shrewsbury Market. Which is a great market, despite the unpromising outside appearance.There are quite a few interesting looking places to eat in the market but so pleased we chose to eat here. We shared a plate of grilled prawns to start, which were delicious. Then I had the Duck Red Curry. Lovely.We ate in some good places while we were on Shrewsbury, but this small marketplace food stall was my favourite.Good value too and very efficient service from super friendly staff. I will actually visit Shrewsbury again just to try something else off the menu here.

Best Thai meal I have had in a very long time. It's a small place in the indoor market but I would highly recommend it. It's much better than any other Thai restaurant that I've been too. Very shocked at how tasty the meal was and at how quick the meal was ready. The service was fantastic. Very friendly staff. Really impressed and will definitely return the next time I am in Shrewsbury town centre.

The House of Yum is well known in Shrewsbury but not on everyone's radar. Well, it should be! Classy Thai food in a 'street food' style area of the Market Hall. The food today was absolutely top notch. I am a big fan of Asian food but rarely eat Thai at home and am not familiar with restaurant Thai food in England so much. The House of Yum good is simply as good, if not better, than dishes I have enjoyed around the world. Go there! Huge thanks to the wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable staff who work there. Super YUM 👏😁

Delicious & authentic Thai food served by lovely, friendly staff! Since lockdown has stopped us from sitting in the lovely Market Hall we have been taking out favourite Thai to the Quarry and it's been the perfect picnic food, with recyclable cutlery too! We just wish they were open on an evening so we could get them on Deliveroo!

Lovely little place, good food at a good price. Had delicious spicy beef noodles and an Americano and they were both great. I got a full bowl of noodles with decent size pieces of beef and veg hidden at the bottom. Service was a little slow but it was expected with the amount of people, but the service was friendly and welcoming.

Without doubt the best Thai food I have ever tasted. Very friendly staff. I eat there at least once a week spending £15+ including starter and have been for three years. Chef will make you anything that's not on the menu. I challenge the one star review and have no hesitation in saying the review is nonsense at best. I have eaten everywhere in Shrewsbury and the House of Yum ties in first place with another. I recommend it without reservation.

I was looking for something to eat and when I saw this little stall & how busy it was I thought to myself it must be good so decided to stay for food. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly as they found me somewhere to sit, I was then given a food and drink menu.There was so much food to choose from and a special board and the prices are reasonable. When the waitress came to take my order she asked me about my preferences in food to make sure that when I ordered o get the food at the spice level i would enjoy so I chose the grilled scallops to start and a green chicken curry for main. Both courses were to quote the name yum and I will definitely return for another meal. As I was there I also noted that they do an occasional evening opening which would be a nice time to go as group and I can imagine that it gets just as busy as a lunch time. Overall I would highly recommend that if you enjoy Thai food it's well worth a try.
