Great food, friendly service. Hefty queue (as to be expected) due to being a very popular chip shop

One long queue and then ignored when I got to the front in favour of deliveries. Then I had to wait while they cooked a cod for me. It’s painful watching how slow some staff are, fish was over cooked but tasty. Chips and curry very tasty. Having waited so long and watched others ordered I would say the 3.95 fish and chips looks a great deal.

Best chippy in Shrewsbury by far!I've been getting my chippy chips from Monkmoor Fish Bar for a few decades now!I even live just doors away from another chippy now, but still make the journey to Monkmoor.Occasionally I've had to go elsewhere, but have never enjoyed chips from other chippies as much as I do from Monkmoor, I don't know what they do differently to others, but they certainly know how to fry up an excellent chip in my opinion.

Lovely fish and chips. Whish is why I was disappointed when they were closed on a Sunday when it's states that online, they're open 😪. Worth updating on here to avoid more tears

The chips were nice and the chicken tikka fantastic.Parking outside has space for around 4 or 5 cars, if parked correctly.4/5 because I've had better chips, but they were still yummy!

Ordered loads of fish and chips for my parents significant birthday party. Service was fantastic from ordering to collection - food was hot, very tasty and well appreciated by all. Couldn't have gone better - thank you very much!

Dropped in at ten to two for lunch because of good reviews. They were about to close, but nonetheless cooked me a fresh battered cod and chips. Perfect fresh fish fresh oil, clean, tasty, friendly service and wrapped in real paper! No nasty plastic box. Awesome.
