New Ruby in Shropshire

BEST IN CHURCH STRETTONTakeaway is consistently reliable, timely and of great quality. Food is delicious, if a little salty. Spring Rolls are full of flavour and huge! I have always been pleased with the meals from New Ruby and visiting friends echo this.

Was very worried about ordering from here because of its current rating but no word of a lie this was the best Chinese I’ve ever had, food was cooked to perfection and tasted unreal. Will definitely be ordering again 10/10

If you are suffering with constipation or you like the view from your bathroom this is the place for you!! Most of there customers have died of heart attacks from the amount of salt they use. Ordering is easy if you have a translator and the meat if cooked perfectly if you no longer want your teeth.

Tried to order ham fried rice and was told they didn't have it so went for egg fried rice instead. Near the end of the order the other member of staff said they had ham so they said they could do the ham fried rice so I asked to get that and to remove the egg fried rice. Got the price and asked for confirmation that they removed the egg fried rice as it was a bit higher than expected and they confirmed it had been. Still got charged for egg fried rice and was given it.

Appearance inside the foyer was rather shabby, don't let it put you off. We waited half an hour for the food which tells me it was cooked fresh. Really enjoyed the food

To put a 1 star is very being very kind. Ordered on the phone, first time I called up i spoken to a lady that did not understand me which was fine however because she didn’t she just put the phone down on me! Order our food and collected, didn’t ask for name or number? When we unpacked our food I had the wrong food completely and it also had chillis in which I know it does not usually so I couldn’t eat this. My partners ribs just looked like they melted dog food and put it over the top of the ribs so all food went in the bin to save ourselves the misery of food poisoning!My advice, save your money and go elsewhere.

WARNING. FOOD POSITIONING FROM OUR LOCAL TAKEAWAY. WE HAVE USED THIS NUMEROUS TIMES, THIS TIME WE WERE UNLUCKY. FRIEND HAD THE WORSE OF IT, 111 CALLED AND ADVISED TO REPORT THEM TO ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCY. 3 FRIENDS POORLY AND 1 WITH EXTREME FOOD POISONING. WE WOULDNT RISK ORDERING HERE AGAIN. ALL OF US HAD CHICKEN IN OUR DIFFERENT DISHES. 3 days of illness and still feeling weak.

Ordered from here based on the good reviews and wasn’t disappointed. The portions were good and tasted great without being too greasy or drowning in fat. The prices are fair and both my parents, wife and I were full with still lots left for around £30. Couldn’t find a menu online so have attached some photos.

The New Ruby restaurant serves up delicious Cantonese food, limited parking is available immediately outside the establishment, however to avoid delays one is advised to phone your order through for a prearranged collection. Their spring rolls are noteworthy.
