Where is No5 Coffee House?

"Number 5 is here for you from dusk till dawn. Whether you're starting your morning with a warm cup of coffee, having a mid-day break with a spot of lunch or drinking cocktails with friends, we are here to serve you a wide range of delicious beverages and food. Established in 2014 as a coffee house and photography studio, Number 5 has now evolved into a cafe and bar & bistro, transforming into the latter on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings."

Used to go here quite a lot and it used to be a great place but has unfortunately gone downhill, hate to be the person to slate a small business but felt this needed posting and it is such a massive shame. Last time we went the food was ok for a quick bite to eat, but not fantastic, but thought it was an off day as it was busy - very much overpriced for the quality. Unfortunately went today and apparently they do not allow children and prams in which is a total shame. This happened to a number of other people who live in the local area who luckily directed me in the way of The odd fellows instead which was fantastic, would recommend there for a lunch. This place used to be brilliant but following the change to a more up market bistro, service seems to have gone downhill.

This was our first time visiting in an evening for cocktails and tapas since they have revamped the business. We were so impressed. This is exactly what shifnal needs! It had an amazing atmosphere and the cocktails and tapas were fabulous! Staff were lovely and attentive too. Theyâve done a great job and created more jobs in shifnal with the change. A great night had by all! Will definitely be returning.

Amazing cocktails and tapas. Have eaten here in the evening twice now and each visit has been perfect! The staff are so lovely and attentive, and the food is just fabulous. Will definitely be going again!

I wasnât going to write a review but have been told I should hopefully so others will save time before attempting to visit.. They do lovely coffee here I have had takeaway before âșïž But for âsitting inâ unfortunately they are still âworking out who their clientelle areâ⊠and that mums and their kids are not it. I was told flatly they were unable to accommodate my stroller even though there were only 2 other people in there, and empty spaces and table and I offered to fold it up and put it out the way. I was also told that they have had issues where people with small children have been loud and disturbed other customers, and even told that women discussing childbirth in the cafe had upset some of their other gentleman customers đŻ I was made to feel like myself, my child and my custom were most unwelcome which is a shame as if anyone is in need of coffee, itâs usually tired mums with small kids. Even more sad when so many are actively looking to help out smaller and independent businesses in these times, and that somewhere that could easily be a thriving community hub have decided to be so selective.

Unfortunately this cafe does not like young children and will make you feel very unwelcome if you try to visit with your kids in tow, especially if you have a pushchair! Looking at other reviews this seems to be a frequent complaint, try Nans cafe across the road, lovely staff and even had puzzles for the kids, very welcoming after an awful experience here today!

Always loved Number 5 as a cafe, but now adore it as a bar and bistro! Fantastic atmosphere, service, tapas and cocktails in the evening and a great place for a coffee and sandwich or breakfast in the morning or afternoon too.

We used to visit here a lot, but ever since I have had a baby and needed space for a pushchair the opinion towards us has changed.I didnât want to place a bad review on a small business, but after this happening for the third time I felt the need.We visited today and asked for a table for 2 with a pushchair and for we were told that they âdonât have the floor space for pushchairsâ I could see for myself that there were two empty tables of two so I asked why we werenât able to sit at one. We were quite simply told we would be blocking everything off and it wasnât an option to sit there. If safety would have been compromised by putting us in a certain place on any occasion I would have had no issue with the decision, however this was 100% not the case on any of our visits.I am left feeling that this is either a personal attack on me or a specific dislike/unwillingness to cater for people with childrenI left today feeling upset and angry so I would say If you have the need for pushchair space I would definitely avoid!

Lovely food - pleasant atmosphere, with good seating .. coffee great too - as usual the coffee machines are rather loud, that's the draw back of having fresh coffee đStaff extremely friendly, smiley and helpful đ

Staff were so attentive and pleasant, overall such a welcoming vibe. Great coffee and the club ciabatta was unbelievably delicious. I started eating too quickly to get a photo but did get a photo of my raspberry and white chocolate brownie I had after which was incredible. Top tier food in a lovely setting and would highly recommend stopping in. I'll definitely be back.
