Just getting round to writing this review as stayed at the old Bell for my friends birthday party wkend. Such a cute place and the bar staff where absolutely wonderful!! Simon the manager was very welcoming!! The rooms are comfortable and compact with plenty of hot water for the Bath, Would definitely stay again

We stayed at The Old Bell whilst visiting Shrewsbury to do some Christmas shopping and meet up with family. What a fantastic place. Simon and his staff looked after us really well. Room was basic but clean. The pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Breakfast at £4.50 was a bargain. Thanks for everything we really enjoyed our stay.

Very helpful staff who managed to resolve a self-inflicted issue with our accommodation booking. Food, despite being a last minute order before the kitchen closed was very, very good and great value for money. Will look to book again, with the correct dates this time!

I stayed in the single room - The room itself was super cute. The blackout blind on the skylight window was great and the bathroom was huge with a bath tub (European style shower). However, the room wasn't very clean, e.g., toilet hadn't been flushed. Also someone has put a sock on the fire alarm (I'm assuming that's what it is) so I think you should remove that! It's very close to a sainsbury's and waking distance to Shrewsbury centre. And be aware there is no WiFi in that room (not sure about the others)

Nice refreshing pint! Sitting outside due to covid restrictions. Outside seating is great and catches the afternoon sun perfectly. Staff are friendly and service is quick. Always ready to get you a new pint when your finishing one off. 14/05/2021

Impossible to judge during lockdown. Our room was small but clean & nice. Free standing shower & a wall mounted tv. Nice central location. Limited parking
