Best pint I have had for a while ,slumbering monk a lovely dark beer, served perfectly by a nice landlord or manager, but a great pub wish it was my local as a being a Lancashire Camra member. On holidays.

Joules are doing a fab job of making nice venues into lovely pubs. This must be a flagship and has attracted the right staff too. Lovely drinks, film cast customers and an ambiance you couldn't pay for. I could wax lyrical for pages. Just go there and you won't be disappointed.

Friendly "old style" pub! No TV's and subtle music so you can hold a conversation without shouting! Excellent beer, prices and hot pork baps! Highly recommended!

Visited on a weekend stay in the area. As we say in Yorkshire, "That'll do!". My first try of Joules beer ( a pale ale ), definitely worth a second, if I we didn't have to drive back to base. Very friendly staff and pub dog!
