Awful experience. Had to continually order drinks at the bar despite being told to sit down and not worry as it was table service. Table dirty on arrival and only 4 sets of cutlery for a pre booked table of 8, staff didnāt appear to notice this and had to be asked for cutlery to eat with, this was plonked on the table from a caddy but no napkins provided, though napkins were also in the caddy, just taken away.Took over 30 minutes to get starters and then one was forgotten but āitāll just be a minuteā⦠for 10 minutes. Once these were out they were overdone and tasteless. Plates not cleared for around 20 minutes after finishing and had to go up to the bar to ask for mains to be sent. Not once offered more drinks from the table or anyone popping by to check things are okay. Again took excessive time for mains to come out and more food forgotten, no table check done which was probably good as the food was awful.Took our own birthday cake which was the best part of the meal, that or watching the staff bring another tables pudding out before their mains were served and when their mains did come they were the wrong meal!Overall shocking service from front of house staff, seeming as though they didnāt want to be there and overcooked, tasteless food from the chefs, along with a grilled lemon to accompany fish and chips showing level of competency.Would definitely avoid at all costs and save your money! 1 star is being generous for how shocking this experience was.

Got turned away when I went for a quick dinner with my children at 5.45. They werenāt accepting any customers as there were only 2 members of staff working in the entire place. Begs the question why they were open at all?!? Seems like if Iād booked online they would have accommodated us - I was very tempted to book there and then while I was stood there, but couldnāt be bothered with causing a scene & took my custom elsewhere. The last few times Iāve been there the food has been very average, but at least I got a meal on those occasions! š

Enjoyed both dinner and breakfast here a few times now. Nice cosy restaurant and bar. Good food, quality ingredients.Friendly and welcoming staff- they are rushed off their feet at times but stay cheerful and attentive. Chef came out personally to tell us that something had run out and gave us alternatives.Oh and the background music was greatš

Stayed at premier Inn as I have stayed in many I can say this is a nice one the only complaint I would have is the TV is offset from the bed which is annoying. Went for tea at the pub on site had a couple of issues nothing major which were quickly sorted out by a very conscientious chap called Alfie although he looks like he couldn't care I think that's just his natural demeanor he is extremely helpful and very approachable, the food on the other hand was very poor I had cottage pie which came with cold peas and cold gravy my partner had medium rare steak which was actually well done, but to be fair this was soon replaced for a medium rare steak once we'd spoken to Alfie and within what felt like seconds was delivered. Another mention for Alfie as well he was a really hardworking good lad well done .š

I have visited 3 times and on each occasion there has always been multiple items missing off the menu (starters, mains desserts and drinks - at least 10 items missing). The table next to us ordered 4 different desserts to then be told non were available). Difficult if you have dietary restrictions allergies or fussy kids. The food that was actually available was tasty, just a shame they always have items missing, otherwise It would be a pretty decent place. The staff were nice, friendly and polite, however, each time we have been they have always been understaffed and run to the ground (obvious poor management issues)Probably wont go back due to multipe items akways missing off the menu, however no issues with front line staff, obviously trying their hardest in an environment where they are being pushed to their limits

Ben today with a service user and other staff member after visiting Blists Hill Victorian Town, Ordered drinks and food together and we then waited 20 minutes for our drinks ( the place was not busy and plenty of empty tables) we then sat and watched a number of people come in get served and get there meals before us, asked the young girl where are meals were to be told I knock something of the bill, 1 hour 10 minutes and still no foodasked again and was told there's another table to cook for then us. By this time our service user was fast asleep in her wheelchair,so we left has we had a long drive back to Liverpool While the Managers just sat there drinking beer and another having her dinner and could even apologise to us. Very bad service.

Really Nice pub, great food. Staff really warm and welcome. Service was exceptional all socially distanced and following all guid lines. Was made to feel really welcome and felt safe as Houses. Will definitely be coming back again. Great job.

While staying at the Premier Inn after a family funeral we ate at this restaurant, dinner & breakfast. I found the staff very helpful & friendly. Nothing was any bother at all. I didn't get any names but our dinner waitress had dark hair in a ponytail & was lovely. At breakfast our waitress was blonde & again was lovely. The food was very good. To see this only rates at 3.7 has totally shocked me.Thank you to all that served us.
