Pheasant at Neenton in Shropshire

We dropped in at 6pm yesterday and were welcomed warmly. The food was exceptional as was the customer service throughout. Both my wife and I had the lightly battered haddock and well we both agreed it may be the best we have tasted. And the batter was so light and tasty adding to the meal. Highly recommended!!

Stayed for two nights in this comfortable, quiet rural pub, with welcoming friendly staff. Highlights for me: food was excellent (quality not quantity), the bed was probably the best I have slept in.

I'd seen that there were lots of good reviews for The Pheasant so I was expecting good things but I was honestly blown away by just how good it was. Absolutely first rate staff and friendly service and the food was utterly incredible, I honestly don't think I've ever had better anywhere in the world. We will most definitely be going back! Can't rate our experience highly enough.

Wow just what we needed ... scenic drive, unpretentious dining, beautiful food,wine and meaningful chat ♥ Perfect treat for a rainy Saturday. Would definitely recommend.Staff are attentive and friendly without being over the top. Glad we went and will go again. £60.00 for wine a pint of beer 2x mains and 1 x pudding. 1x coffee. 10 9ut of 10.

Excellent food, lovely service, wonderful atmosphere. More up-market cuisine - very worth the money!! Would 10/10 recommend!!

We stayed whilst house hunting and was so pleased we chose here. The room was really comfortable, clean and well equipped with excellent en-suite.As for the food - FANTASTIC! We had lunch, dinner and breakfast … all superb. Great menu, lovely fresh ingredients and so tasty, great cooking.To top it all, really good service too. Even Bruce was treated, what dog doesn’t appreciate a sausage being specially cooked for them! Cannot recommend enough. Def be back.

Flipping wonderful! Polite and friendly staff, quick service, and the food was devine, easily the best meal I've had in several years!The lamb was cooked to perfection, the fat was perfectly rendered and tasted amazing.The rarebit was lovely and mustardy, although the egg could have done with a tad more cooking as the white was a bit too runny for me.The hand cut chips were devine. Batter on the fish was super crispy and not too oily.The pork Wellington was wonderful and tender with buttery pastry and fabulous rich gravy.

We stayed for two nights at The Pheasant in November 2021. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. The food served in the pub, both breakfast and evening meals, was absolutely excellent - the chef clearly takes huge pride in producing some amazing food.A good location for accessing the Shropshire Hills and some bigger towns like Ludlow. Fully recommended.

We had another superb visit, with an excellent choice of 8 starters & 8 main course on a regularly changing menu all of which we would have been happy to choose. What we did have was excellent & we even had a dessert. Superb quality food, lovely atmosphere and although full service was not compromised. We are very lucky to have The Pheasant so close to us but it would be well worth a distance to travel to it you certainly won’t be disappointed.

Expansive menu. Superb range of fine dining choices encompassing very eclectic options. The staff were warm and welcoming with no sense of being rushed.Presentation of my meal was very pleasing. Both main meal and dessert.The joy was most certainly in the carefully prepared food itself. It was quite simply divine!The atmosphere is relaxed and reflects the desire to ensure Customers have a fabulous experience.Thank you
