Pizza Express in Shropshire

I felt like the staff were rude as we were walk-ins and had 6 kids with us. the food was Mediocre for a restaurant that markets itself as an upmarket place when you'll be better off with going to a greasy spoon with the quality of your food

Who doesn't love a pizza.We were lucky to get a seat on the front terrace overlooking mardol.You can watch the world go by from here while enjoying your food and drink.The buildings nearby tower over you so you are in a lot of shade.The doughballs and our choice of pizza was very good as was the service.We just can't wait to get back indoors.

Popped into Pizza Express Shrewsbury for an early tea . We were served by Joana. Joana knows how to make customers feel special, appreciated and welcome. She was helpful , efficient and above all else she had a great personality. The food was good the beer was cold . So all in all we had a great experience. Thank you Joana.

The service was exemplary, so much attention to detail, and at the end of the meal such a magnificent gesture to is a customers. I can't fault the staff and the food was superb. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The Italian pizza chef give me the best food experience in my life ❤️ and he is definitely also sexy. Great chef with no doubt 🤠

On a half term trip we booked to have a family meal at Pizza Express for 7.30pm. on arrival it took about 10 minutes for us to be welcomed with 3 bookings waiting in the doorway. A barometer of what was to follow. From this point onwards everything happened at a snails pace. 10 minutes for menus to be brought to the table, another 10 minutes for drinks to arrive. We did not get our food until 9.10, one hour forty after are booking time!!! The explanation was that the staff were new and the management we're not on this evening, but it was all diners that were suffering.I have to say the pizza when it did arrive was very tasty and we did get a 25% discount. But to wait over an hour for food was bad. We have obviously been to other Pizza Express restaurants before and never had this experience. But just check that they can cope before you sit down!!I wanted to give one star, but the pizza taste should be recognised!!

The staff at the Shrewsbury Pizza Express are always very polite, helpful and also engaging with the little one when we go. The food is almost always absolutely spot on and probably the most consistent chain in the uk in terms of presentation and quality. The Shrewsbury restaurant on Mardle is large, well lit and a pleasure to visit.

Popped in one lunchtime. Everyone wearing masks and using hand sanitizer after each serving. Staff were friendly and helpful, and..... the food was delicious 😋

Food pretty good but restaurant can hardly justify the word Express in the title.Despite everyone appearing to work flat out our main courses were very slow to arrive.Service at the table was inadequate.To be fair, the manager did acknowledge the problem without us complaining, she offered a complimentary bottle of wine. Unfortunately waiting staff failed to understand again, and we were charged. It was very crowded so perhaps company needs to provide additional staff to assist those suffering under the pressure.

We enjoyed our recent meal here. Tasty food at reasonable prices. It was very busy inside and hard to find a nearby parking space outside. As it was so busy inside staff were not as attentive as we would have liked. We used Tesco vouchers to substantially reduce the cost of our meal. The restaurant is very noisy despite the acoustic boards on the ceiling. Not a quiet romantic venue but good for groups or families to get together.
