Platform Two in Shropshire

Had a table booked here for 1.30pm ended up leaving at 2.30pm having had no food. Staff lovely, helpful and welcoming. Given the menu’s, no gluten free menu so given the allergen folder. As annoying as this is, I’m used to it so that’s fine. Ordered sharing nachos to start, as gluten free according to the allergen folder and I order chargrilled salmon (gluten free) and my partner ordered fish and chips (normal, as he doesn’t have any issues) after about 15 minutes we was told the nachos wasn’t gluten free as advised by the chef. I made the staff aware that it was on the allergen folder as no gluten. Then after about an hour since we first ordered, my salmon arrived and looked good. My partners fish and chips however had no batter on. He said it wasn’t what he had ordered. To be told they didn’t put the batter on as it may contaminate my meal! If they thought that, you’d think they would at least advise or ask if that was how we wanted it. No they didn’t. So unfortunately we sent the food back and just asked for the bill for drinks. I felt very sad as I was really quite hungry by then! 😤

Returned to the Beefeater tonight after the long break for covid. We were very pleased with the new menu and food choice. Surf and turf was my choice. It was Excellent. The service too was to a high standard with smiling staff as they pass your table. We will definitely be returning.

Good pub food with great staff. Service was a little slower than usual but it was a busy Mothering Sunday, plus it gave my party a chance to chat. The chocolate gift at the end of our visit was a lovely surprise 😁.

Possibly the worst meal and service ever. I was so looking forward to my mixed grill. I know I’m quite fussy, but I’m not rude. Waited 30 minutes before my order was even taken; cold food delivered which was promptly returned. Second meal arrived 20 minutes later which was edible. Coffee nearly thrown at me because I requested my syrup on the side. Not great. I spent just under 2 hours in the restaurant, which wasn’t busy. I won’t waste my time again.

Nice welcoming staff and friendly, brought the drinks to us quickly, food cooked from scratch and was delicious, will definitely go again when passing.

A clean and modern pub. Problems with stock, with good unavailable. Hopefully this will change in time. One disappointment, by 5pm there was no Sunday roast available. Foods was nice and cooked well. Plus a good pint of Guinness.

Came for a meal, ordered coke which tasted unfortunately flat. Burger I ordered was the double bacon cheese burger which in itself was really nice but I had barely a handful of fries and plate was mostly empty. Was £13 for the burger which if there was more on the plate such as chips or onion rings would've made it worth it but unfortunately wasn't.

We had a lovely beef roast at the three fish beefeater. It was my birthday and I received a lovely card and Cadbury chocolates! Really impressed and the table looked lovely with all the balloons! The staff were fantastic! A great visit again 😉

Very very nice Beefeater. The waiting Staff are lovely. Nothing is a bother. It's well presented and clean. For the price difference between Whitbread's other Restaurant Brewers fayre I choose Beefeater. The atmosphere is chilled. You are shown to Your table. Allowed to relax. Then Drinks are ordered. Then food is ordered. There is no rushed feeling. Which is great when all You want to do is enjoy the ambience. Beefeater is good for You Through and Through.
