Six of us went for meal Saturday night,3 couples. Well had a lovely welcome as we arrived.we were sat at a large table near the Great log burner. The young waitress did an excellent job looking after us all night. Never too pushy but always on hand . 4 of us had pate starters which was really good, the other 2 had garlic mushrooms which were also very good. For mains the steaks were cooked lovely as were the chips. The cajun and fajita were also enjoyed. The gammon was enjoyed although a little over cooked. Sweets were polished off to end a good night. Star of the show was the girl on the bar who was bubbly and fun and looked after us really well. Great night give this place a go. Prices reasonable as well.

Had a Xmas meal Friday evening, service and staff excellent. Highly recommended.

Β·

The staff at this pub did an excellent job of accommodating us as a large family recently after a member of our group made the mistake of making a booking for an establishment of the same name in another Longdon!

Lovely family run pub with bags of character. This is a traditional country pub where no one is a stranger. The moment you walk in you are made to feel welcome and everyone makes an effort to chat.Drinks are reasonably priced and the food looked great (we didn't eat).We also took our dog on a Friday night and they didn't mind at all.She got the most attention and caused a lot of fuss and conversations. We be back again and again.

Good food, reasonable price. Beer brewed on site and good value Β£2.95 a pint which is much cheaper than the managed or tenant pubs in this area. Service from the staff is efficient and always with a smile. Pub atmosphere enhanced with a real log burner going in the winter and large impressive beer garden out back with play area for children along with a few animals and pleasant country views. This pub is an asset to the local area.
