Rowton Castle Restaurant in Shropshire

Just had my daughter's wedding at this wonderful location. The setting was gorgeous with a pristine yard and beautifully decorated halls, rooms, and reception area. The food was delicious and served throughout the evening and following morning, including a late-night marshmallow roast. They have the most friendly and helpful staff imaginable. Sy, our photographer, was amazing. He invested in the whole event and got the photos our family desired as well as many artistic couple photos and was a pleasure to work with. The DJ was also a lot of fun. All together, the Rowton Castle experience was created a fairytale-wedding experience for our family.

Lesley and I visited the castle on Monday 28th February. The venue and all the team were superb. We had lots of questions about our wedding day. These were answered so well with lots of further idea's. Big shout out for Gemma Ceri and Gareth. Can't wait for the big day !

Came here a couple of weeks ago to treat my partner to a birthday meal and overnight stay. The food was absolutely lovely and the restaurant and bar staff were very polite. Breakfast was also included which was very nice. Lots on offer. The building itself is so gorgeous. The decor inside is traditional and luxurious. Enjoyed some drinks in the lounge after dinner by the fire which was lovely. The hotel rooms are very old school. Got upgraded to a four poster bedroom. My only gripes were the bed was extremely creaky as well as the floor and the TV was very small. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay.

Awesome place. We stayed one night for a wedding. Very personal, beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy. Perfect, small wedding venue, couldn't fault it. The venue was hired for the entire wedding party of approx 40 guests and it felt like being in a large family home. Cozy, homely and lovely. If you are looking for modern and trendy with clean lines and crisp decor it might not be for you but if you don't mind the odd wonky for, creaky floorboard and old paintings which give this place character you'll love it. Nice garden too which will be beautiful in summer.

We had our wedding at Rowton at the end of November 2021. I don't think any words I could say could express how amazing they were. The castle is STUNNING. It is spotlessly clean, and immaculately decorated. Beautifully maintained grounds that stretch for miles.Throughout the process the castle were accommodating, attentive and just amazing. The staff are PHENOMENAL - always going above and beyond to make the day as special as possible and the planning process as simply as possible. We felt the work was all done for us! Gemma in the wedding office was especially fantastic - a real asset to the castle.The day itself was magical - we had a power outage on the morning of the wedding but Rowton were so reassuring and one of the amazing owners was shuttling bridesmaids to the nearby barns to get their hair done! Everything got back up and running so quickly due to the diligence of the staff and our day was stunning and ran like clockwork. There were LOADS of staff supporting us through our day, too many to mention by name but Ralph (our master of ceremonies) was outstanding. Staff were on duty to ensure all our guests felt special and attended to.I cannot recommend this place as a wedding venue enough - thank you Rowton for the most perfect wedding ever.

Just returned from our second Dinner, Bed and Breakfast overnight stay, having first visited in December 2021. Had a fabulous stay, super luxurious room, beautifully appointed. Food and service were superb, Abi and her team looked after us brilliantly, nothing was too much trouble. Having dined in the function room last year due to Covid constraints, this year we had the added treat of dining in the breakfast room. Lovely intimate space with a really traditional castle feel. Such a treat and hope to return again next year. We'll done Team Rowton.

We attended a wedding here yesterday and what an amazing place! The castle and grounds are beautiful inside and out. Our room was lovely, clean and very warm and cosy. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and worked very hard. Would definitely recommend!

Attended a wedding here, cannot fault a single thing about it. An incredibly well oiled wedding machine run by the most courteous and helpful of staff. Really well kept grounds and building. Our incredibly well furnished room was decent value to stay in too.

Last Sunday our son and his fiancee got married at Rowton Castle.It was absolutely wonderful. The castle provided the perfect setting and accommodation for the event. The outdoor location of the wedding service was stunning with unspoilt views of the Shropshire countryside.The staff deserve a special mention for their hard work and attention to detail and in fact nothing was too much trouble for them. Gareth and his team provided excellent service throughout and the wedding breakfast itself was outstanding.Rowton Castle delivered a truly professional wedding and for our friends and family the happiest of memories. We can't recommend it highly enough.

We had my daughters wedding here 28th August this year. The place is amazing. The whole experience will never be forgotten. The day was perfect. The food was beautiful nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. I would like to thank all the staff but two people who helped the day run so smoothly Gareth and Louis. Very efficient and professional. A perfect day at a perfect venue I would highly recommend Rowton for any weddings beautiful place
