Salopian Star in Shropshire

A welcoming atmosphere and some really well kept real ales are waiting for visitors here. The music was worth noting for reflecting great taste and being played at a sensible level to enjoy without drowning converation. Will be going back.

Me and my mom had the most lovely experience at this pub! The barkeep was such a pleasant gentleman I think visiting would be worth it for his company alone. 10/10.

Came in here at last and Harvey the landlord immediately welcomed me and made me feel at home. Real proper pub, lovely atmosphere and the locals were great too.Proper cask ale on tap and had to have a couple of pints as you do...a pint here is such good value as are the rest of the drinks. It certainly stands out in price value compared to the other drinking establishments in Market Drayton.Definitely recommend this pub as it's a real gem and Harvey makes it even greater, what a character and landlord...well done you "sir"...!! First time in there staff and host very friendly nothing was too much trouble for them if I go that way again will call in. Very homely.

Went for breakfast at 11am. Good home cooked food, piping hot, delicious. Our table ordered the traditional full English and the meat free. All came to the table really quickly and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back to taste the extensive numbers of draught beer.

There were 3 of us that went, wanting to sit in a beer garden where there weren't lots of football fans...this was perfect, we wanted a quiet coffee and got exactly that. We were shown outside (they even brought a chair out for my friend's mum as it waa easier for her to sit down, we ordered 3 coffees then got told they were free! they do not charge for hot drinks! the mugs they used were big mugs too. They were super friendly and relaxed, I even asked them to move to my area lol. We will definitely be visiting there again!

Great pint with a lovely seating area out the back. Very friendly chatty landlord, will definitely return. Oh yeah, the Cranston pickle flavoured cheddar were good too! Dog friendly too
