Shapla Balti House in Shropshire

Wonderfully cooked food, the naan bread was as light as air, the mushroom bhaji fresh and tender, the main meals were delicately flavoured and again tender. Service was polite and attentive without being over bearing. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved the food here. We're vegetarian so Indian food is a great option, we started with the pickle tray which had generous portions and was lovely. For our main food, we ordered about 6 side dishes, rice and a naan to share. Each dish was delicious, especially the bombay potatoes and the saag dishes. The tarka dhal they have is sweeter than I've had before but made a refreshing change.Service was great too, everyone has a lovely personality and we felt welcomed at Shapla, unfortunately we live 140 miles away so we can't make it a regular spot!

Visited recently whilst on a short break in Ludlow. Food was superb. Advisable to book as it can get really busy. Service very good with friendly staff

Visited for an evening meal. The food is delicious and fresh. However, the environment isn't great. It was cold and had to wear coat throughout, and the restaurant is very much focused towards takeaways and felt you were eating in a waiting room: customers waiting to collect takeaways, phone always ringing for orders, and delivery drivers talking loudly at the bar. This didn't make for a good dining experience, however, I imagine would be a good choice for takeaway food as quality was good.

Had a fantastic meal here, great food, plenty of vegetarian options and really lovely staff. Told them we were hungry and he rushed the poppadoms out for us before we'd finished ordering! Would definitely recommend if you're in the area 😊

Really good food. I had a lamb I haven't tried before with a slight mango taste in the base - lovely and so good to try something new. All my family enjoyed their food. Good service, small but a nice place.

Decent food, samosas were great and the portion sizes were good, so high value. The Balti could have had a bit more flavour but still enjoyed our meal!

Booked this restaurant while staying in Ludlow. It was fantastic. The service was great and the food was excellent. Totally recommend the fish starter for 2, next time I'm getting it to myself! The food was so tasty and all freshly cooked. Will definitely return.

Went to the Shapla for the first time last night and I have mixed feelings on the visit.The Restaurant is really a large shop and was disappointed with the small space of the setting.Tables were very close together and with a lot of people arriving for takeaways there seemed not a lot of privacy while having your meal.The food was lovely but the service could be a lot better.I felt the service was very slow and takeaways seemed more of a priority than customers eating in.
