Smokehouse Deli and Cicchetti Bar in Shropshire

Was really impressed by the helpfulness and compassion from owner Jayne, who helped me organize a lasagna and treats. I ordered from afar but all reviews from those that received the food were very complimentary. Can’t wait to try it myself!

Perfect for grabbing a coffee and very delicious apricot filled croissant before hitting the Mortimer trail and takeout snack with us. Standing at the bar table in the street was such a reminder of Italian holidays.

With the current social d restrictions, we could only pick up a quick treat to go! As an experienced creamer I was nervous on ordering, but the gelato was like eating a cloud from heaven. Even managed to find some space for the Lemon and Basil sorbet, which was simply out of this world!

Excellent Owner and Chef, good family and friendly, staff also very helpful. Food is very good and love the coffee.

Greeted by warm welcome. The place looks like it has been there for donkeys, but after talking to the proprietor, I've learned that they only have been operating for 5 years. Excellent place to take a blind date or a friend who does not stop talking. You can nod & odd, hmmm or oh really? (active listening) while looking around at the amazing decor. I went for the specials: Smoked mussels, anchovies & salmon pate' with a drink £15.00. Unfortunately, the waitress over charged me for my drink. I only realised after several miles from the place. I can give them the benefit of the doubt and say the talk waitress with the ripped jeans & long black hair made a genuine mistake. Or, They knew, I was passing through and over charged me, knowing I wouldn't return again for a while. We'll never know. Not sure whether to recommend or not due to being over charged.

superb breakfast! we had Turkish eggs and Spanish toasts. the former was very memorable!

Food is AMAZING. Coffee is outstanding. Only grumble (and it is a feature of the building, not something the owners can do anything about) is that due to the room being long and narrow it is not very buggy friendly and there is really nowhere to change a baby except for in the toilet on the floor. The staff are really accommodating though and will do their best to help. Highly recommend their hot chocolate. And that strawberry and lemon marmalade...dear lord.

We were staying in the area for a few days and wanted a good breakfast before walking. We ended up here four times, twice for breakfast and another couple of times to stock up on antipasto and wine for later! The people are so friendly, the food is excellent - do try the Turkish Eggs if you want breakfast, coffee wonderful and the little Italian pastries make perfect hiking snacks! The staff were so nice and helpful and we later got some pasta from the shop they also own across the road, which was delicious. Highly recommended - it made us wish we lived here!

This is a fantastic and unique eatery authentically based on the pop-in comfortable cafe's in Venice. Sourcing products directly from artisan producers in Spain and Italy I thought this place was fantastic. The comments made by the other poster was not my experience at all. The owner was cheerful, polite and a thoroughly decent chap. I asked for something not on his menu and he knocked it up straight away. try it and I am sure you will be pleased.
