Very rural and quaint pub with beautiful views around. Dog friendly and staff are excellent. 2 fire stoves in the inside give a homely feel. Lots of local beers to try on tap. Menu has lots of options. Nice beer garden with a great view of the hills and woodland behind. Well worth the visit!

Best Sunday lunch we've had in years. A friendly and warm welcome from the new owners and staff. Nice to see the pub doing food again. Highly recommended.

Response to 'Andrew Gibbins', Have you really only ever posted one review?.... or was this an 'attempt' to damage our business? Would you like to pop in to see our full fridges, and our many working beer pumps, we would REALLY like to meet you! Second thoughts here they are, {pictures attached} not sure how much more we could stock!Perhaps you are trying to add us to the *2500+ pubs that closed down in the last 4 years, but for what reason would you want that?!* information from Publican newspaperMany thanks to the real people who reviewed our lovely little pub, like JT who is a local reviewer with over 80 write ups. This is precisely why we work hard behind the 'scenes' before we even open our doors!May I suggest, in the politest possible way, that you give your support elsewhere!

Great traditional laid back country pub atmosphere. The new owners are very welcoming and keen to provide a welcoming space. Food was wholesome and well priced.

Wow what a beautiful country pub, staying in Diddlebury for a week away. Booked in for Sunday Lunch superb value, amazing selection of vegetables and brilliant home made desserts. Booked in for Steak night on Thursday can't wait!

·

Attentive, friendly, country pub in a very delightful setting. It stops there.Since re-opening first impressions were truly underwhelming: only one pump was operational and the fridge was practically bare on the night. Really want to give this local pub support; so gave it a second chance recently. Inventory was still thin; coupled with pre-booked food to order, if you want spontaneous bring your own and pay the corkage in my opinion! This pub has done far better in its recent past under different landlords.

We went on 9th Jan 22 for Sunday dinner we were told the gas was not working dinner was running late we did not mind it was very cold in the pub but they did their best with heaters the fire lit would have been very welcoming dinner came it was well worth the wait beautifully cooked plenty of veg and potatoes gravy was delicious service was excellent you get alot of food no need for starters we could not manage a pudding either although they looked lovely look forward to going back chef came out to speak to is which was nice. 2 young girls serving it was their 1st day in employment in their lives they were so professional.would like to try a friday or Saturday meal in the next month.

Fantastic pub, really really good food and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend it for a drink or a meal.

A very welcoming, dog friendly pub. The food was very good for the price, with superb portion sizes. It was a pleasant drive out from the main road, well worth it for the views from the beer garden. A lovely little pub!
