Spent two nights in the hotel. Good sized rooms, well furnished. At a good price. It has everything you expect from a basic hotel.Owners were very friendly and helpful, which always makes a big difference. The bar is under going renovation, so soon that will be very nice I'm sure.

Stayed here for 2 nights this week, and found the accommodation to be basic but satisfactory. The owner clearly tries hard to ensure all the essentials are in place. He is very pleasant , polite , courteous and attentive , and made us feel very welcome . The breakfast was excellent .There is ample free parking which is a big bonus , especially if you have a large vehicle or trailer.

We were well looked after by Stu and he went above and beyond to assist with any requests. Rooms were clean and perfectly suited to our needs for the price. Nothing but compliments from a group of 8 happy travellers.

·

We only spent one night but the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and the breakfast was top notch. Only thing that we would have liked was for it to warm up more quickly in the bedroom on arrival and dining room in the morning.

I went to the Affcot Lodge with my Fiancée and some of her friends for an evening to have a few drinks and play some darts. The staff were courteous, friendly and engaging, the prices were fair and the atmosphere was very light-hearted and friendly.

If you are visiting Carding Mill Valley, Long Mynd Church Stretton area you have to pay a visit for a meal at Affcot lodge - the food is absolutely fantastic pub grub, home made tasty , huge portion sizes and cracking value its worth the trip out for lunch/evening meal. Stopped overnight and digs were good enough but the food alone makes this a little hidden gem of a pub, fantastic friendly staff as well. Well recommended especially food best Pub grub me & my partner have ever had :-)
